For everybody upset about running up the score, maybe we should all just drop down to the Frontier conference because we definitely don't belong playing with any of the big boys if that's our mentality. You take what the defense gives you and if the defense can't stop you, that's the defense's problem.

I'm curious about something... Why is it that Colin Cowherd who went to EWU and was given the key to the city seemed so interested in talking about FBS teams like MIchigan State while the game was going on? Is he no longer a fan of the Eagles?

I'm glad we agree that Keeler and his team deserved to have the score run up on them. Thanks for supporting the Eags.

Also, Colin Cowherd is paid to say things. He says them and he is paid. He was paid to say things about Michigan. He said them and he was paid.

I feel like this is a rhetorical question that you already know the answer to. Yes, he is an EWU alum and fan. He does a lot for the University. That said, he works for ESPN...and ESPN caters to the P5 conferences. $$$

I'm just glad we got to have our opening game televised on national TV in front of a sold-out crowd of ~10,500 people, and it was a game that we won. No other FCS program can say that. Hopefully it's something that will continue to happen in the future. Next year in Missoula or Fargo would be cool. Good for FCS football to get the exposure it deserves.

You don't get it, Fahque. You just don't get it, do you? We have over 10 years of making EWU fans look silly on eGriz. Do you know how much time and man hours it would take to re-do all of that work?

Note to self, set DVR for almost 4 hours if I ever dvr an EWU game again. As it was, I added 15 minutes to the scheduled game ending. So, the DVR did not get the final 13 minutes of the game. I thought the game was very long while watching it live. Guess I was right. 4 hour football games are ridiculous.

This was one of the counterintuitive times in life where not enough of the D caused the "too long" predicament.

...I was on the field all game and I caught myself many times just looking up at the crowd and saying, "wow". EWU football has come a long way in the last thirty years.

That game was toooooo long. Besides the ESPN commercials, regular time outs, stoppage for reviews, injury stoppage neither team huddled (not once). 181 plays in that game.

Me too. I added THIRTY minutes, and STILL didn't get the last 3 TD's (missed about 8 minutes of the 4th quarter).

Hahahahaha! After the EWU fans predictably opined that going for the last TD was completely justified, this is pretty hilarious. Are they calling for his head now? I see he rocks the EWU grammar as well. Awesome.
