I'm not calling for Stitt's head, and I think they should let another year play out, but really? Those D2 QB's were playing against D2 defensive players and D2 defensive coaches and Coach Stitt still only had a 57% winning percentage while with the Orediggers. He is a work in progress, one that myself and all of Griz Nation is hoping will get better.
I am not saying that I like the offense. My point was, Stitt, even at the D2 level, found a QB that supposedly could run this super complicated offense. I still believe that it is not difficult to defend, but how much of that is on the QB's he had running the system? I am not sure anyone of us really knows, but both BG and Chalich struggled with it. Was that all the design, or because both had limitations. BG was a statue that usually panicked and checked down to his outlet, or attempted much to often and Chalich had happy feet and would take off under the same circumstances. But I really have doubts about an offense that is supposedly super complicated for the QB to run but seems really easy for a defense to gameplan.
