No way. The Rams will take Goff. Cleveland might take Wentz, but the best thing for everyone is to let him go to a team that has a good QB so he doesn't have to start right away.

Virtual hand-shake friendly bet on this? I bet he goes 1 or 2. You bet he goes lower. Winner gets to gloat?
Oh, he'll go 1 or 2. I'm saying there's no way he should. I think its a mistake for both Wentz and whoever takes him. How about I gloat if he goes 1 or 2 and is a bust or if he goes late has a good career, you gloat if he isn't a bust at 1 or 2?

I'll do it for fun. Not sure how we will define "bust." If he plays in the league for 8 or more years, and starts the majority of games in those years, is he a bust? Does he have to earn league MVP and win a couple of super bowls not to be a bust?

I'll be he plays 8 or more years, starts 80 or more games, and wins more games than he loses at the end. To me, that is not a bust.

Funny that those who say bust really have nothing behind why they think he will be. Is it just jealousy because it isn't a Griz QB in this position? What doesn't Wentz have that causes someone to say bust.

Height, weight, athletic ability, arm strength, intelligence, character, winning QB, and played in a pro style system. He has everything you are looking for in a QB. I watched every senior bowl practice. He dominated the competition there. There is a reason why a team potentially just traded up to grab him.

That sounds good. You're on, but I hope you win this bet.

I'm not rooting against him at all. It just seems like a lot QBs taken early and made starters early in their careers don't pan out. I don't have any stats to back that up though. It'd be interest to see how well QBs taken in the top 5 and made starters early in their first season have panned out.

Reading comprehension for the NoDak posters. The forum is called Montana Grizzlies Football AND THE FCS. All of you Bizon posters may wish you were in the Big10 but you are still FCS so it is not unusual that you have your team talked about here. Just be glad there are fan bases out there that give 2 sh!ts about FCS football and will talk about Wentz. I hope he goes #1 as I am tired of all the "experts" bashing every FCS talent because they played against, so called, inferior competition.....

Why do you think he will be starting day 1? Never heard that once.

You should go find some of the videos from senior bowl week. He honestly dominated the competition there.

In regards to past busts, I could argue that not one of those QBs was even as remotely prepared to start day 1 as Wentz though. Hardly anyone runs a pro style offense in college like NDSU.

Jesus what are you so pissed off for this morning? Drink a coffee or something.

I didn't come on here to shove anything in your face. You guys have had constant discussion about NDSU and Wentz so I figured I would just break the news.

Sorry assumed that was directed at me.

If it is Wentz, this is huge for any coach recruiting at the FCS level.

Wentz is 23 years old; if he can play/start? until he's 30 years of age for the Rams and still be able to walk without assistance, I would consider that a decent career. Probably, such will not be the case with the Browns offensive line (which is literally offensive).

I'm hoping Wentz goes #1 and does well for the Rams. But it is possible the Rams take Goff simply because he is a California kid, played at Cal and would help fill the stadium in the team's first year back in LA, an din ensuing years. If the Rams perceive Goff and Wentz as very close in talent then the fact that Goff is a California boy may tip the scales in his favor from a "business" perspective. If Goff goes to the Rams it's likely Wentz will go # 2 to Cleveland, which is pretty damn good for an FCS player. From a career standpoint I'd much rather see Wentz go to the Rams than that craphole in Cleveland.

I beg to differ, Griz90. There is no way southern Cali folks will accept Goff after they find out he appeared on the Outdoor Channel in an episode called "Gridiron Outdoors". He appeared on the segment with his father (a former MLB catcher) and he was filmed holding a high powered weapon in his blood stained hands. He used the weapon to kill some of God's creatures (wild hogs).........OH, the humanity of it all !!! No way the skirts in south Cali accept him.

I think he'll be starting day 1 or close to it, because the Rams have made horrid decisions with players in the past and their current QB stinks. That's a recipe for him starting on day 1.
This is turning into a circular discussion. I've got nothing against Wentz. I think he's good. I think he'll be even better if he gets some grooming behind a solid veteran. The Aaron Rodgers, Tom Brady, Joe Montana route might serve him best.
I'll just leave your last statement alone.

Whether it is Wentz or Goff, the pressure will be on to get them on the field soon. As soon as Keenum has a bad game they will be up. This doesn't bode well for whoever the the pick will be as they will be facing Seahawks and Cards secondaries. With the bounty of picks given up by the Rams, this well could go down as a Hershel Walker type of deal for the Titans. That just ups the ante for the #1 pick. In the Los Angeles media spotlight, they better have thick skin and hope Gurley stays healthy.

Disregard the jealously on here, it shows you how far the Griz have fallen.

Thanks for breaking the news on the trade, I created another thread about it like most of these idiots would have done, just to clutter up the board and jam Wentz in their face a little more. I love seeing them scramble to try and make the Griz relevant.

I hope he goes to the Rams so I can actually root for him for once. Of course, that would mean he would have to make millions of dollars and live in Southern California. While most would jump at such a chance, my bet is BizonAlumna2011 would not approve. Maybe the Rams will move to Bismarck someday . . .

I guess I should respond.

Jesus what are you so pissed off for this morning? Did you step on your putter?

I get that this is a forum about the FCS and it is common to discuss other teams. But every time there is a post about the Bison and an NDSU fan comments we are told "go back to your own site" and the Dome/obesity bashing begins. Not everyone, but a few. I just like to join in on the fun.

That being said, I think Wentz goes to the Rams. The Rams informed Carson's agent that they are taking a QB, and as Missoula people, nobody knows better than you guys that Fischer loves hunting and fishing. I guarantee they hit it off in their one to one meetings and they decide to take him.

But, I also thought the Bison would leave WGS with a 20 point victory, so....

Bet if Carson had to pick he would live in Bismarck over LA, but I'm sure he won't mind playing QB there.

He's the closest thing to Brett Favre the NFL will see as a QB. The guy loves to hunt and be in the middle of nowhere rather than be surrounded by arrogant douche bags like you.

You got me so good! Haha!

I'm sure the hunting and fishing in Nort Dakota is OK, something that at least will somewhat scratch the itch if you have no way of getting to Montana.
