ESPN College Ganeday

All, flood ESPN and their personalities with #fcsongameday. It's a push by all FCS conferences. Invite college gameday to Missoula. Back this on social media!

I love College Gameday, but they don't even cover the FBS that well. It is the same narrative that you see on ESPN at large - heavy focus on the handful of elite programs, some light coverage of the P5 conferences in general, and maybe a whiff of a shout out to a G5 school if there is specific high profile game or season. Forget about the FCS (except for Fargo that one season). You don't really get a good sense of the greater landscape of FBS. So anything that forces them to look out side the prevailing bubble would be a good thing!

I spearheaded a Facebook group back in 2012 attempting to get Gameday to come to the Brawl. We had a TONof support and lots of people had great connections with emails and phone numbers to the right people. They ended up choosing Stanford @ Oregon instead of us. But now I think ESPN sees the crowds Fargo and JMU have had at their College Gamedays, and that they really need to take notice of other FCS schools.

If you do Twitter - post #FCSonGameDay. & this isn’t just more FCS game day sites - it’s about getting dedicated time to talk FCS during the broadcast. ‘Bout dam time. And yes, I feel the same way about peach vodka.

They do College GameDay at an FCS school every year. It’s obvious you don’t watch it anymore.

Please tell me one reason why they should come to Missoula? In fact, ask Bobby if they should come to Missoula yet?

Well, while I think the entire idea is a pipe dream, I can provide dozens of reasons why they should come to Missoula.

2017 JMU last time. 2015 JMU the last time before that. 2014 Harvard & Yale. 2013 & 2014 @ UNDSU before that. 2008 before that.

I agree it is a pipe dream but what would we hope to gane (play on the title of thread) but is there a more picture perfect place in the world to enjoy a fall football game?

Because the goal is to highlight the FCS more. The ENTIRE FCS. There is great football being played at this level. And as it pains me to say this as a Cat fan, football records aside, Missoula, the griz and that stadium of yours still represent the FCS very well.

I was talking about their weekly coverage. Btw they haven’t gone to an FCS school since JMU two years ago. So it is obvious you didn’t watch it since 2017.

Not exactly ESPN, but Fox, not to mention FS1 picking up a game outside of Arizona is a win.

Wow, Idaho State and Southern Utah? How random, I wonder what the thinking at FS1 was on that choice.

I'm guessing they needed cheap content at that time slot.

Speaking of FOX, they too now have a a"Gameday". Would not hurt to try them too. I believe they are at Ohio St. this weekend

Was announced by ESPN and tweeted by reece Davis that colleger game day is going to be in Brookings sd. This coming Saturday.
Sdsu is #3 and ndsu #1 . It will be interesting on how much they do concerning all fcs football or the
typical 99.5% fbs and a little to fcs. Either way it's good recognition for Sdsu and ndsu.
Should be a good game that could go either way.
