"Entrapment" is not a valid defense in this case. The trial is ongoing. Nobody knows what the jury is thinking. It would be nice to be talking about football like most other schools at this point instead of concocting cockamamie hypothetical defenses for a guy on trial for rape.

A case for entrapment would stand no chance because the accuser's actions can be explained by another motivation of a questionable mental state. Entrapment is all about motivation and that becomes very difficult to establish outside of a cut and dried circumstance such as a law enforcement agency with a clearly defined mission to prosecute law breakers. How do you prosecute an accuser who embellished their story only because from all indications was intoxicated on their own notoriety?

I don't see any boogey men standing in the shadows to instigate this affair, but I do see a lot of boogey men and women with alternate agendas who couldn't wait to get on the band wagon once the momentum started to build and push it forward.
