Enough with Ty. Who will we get?

Doesn't TG spend most of his recruiting time in Vegas? If Stitt gives his guy the DC job would Legi leave also??? That would hurt worse than losing Ty to the Cats no??

Intuitive......tradition has been important to the success of the football program, however, the Main Hall problems can erase the positives of tradition. During the recruiting process, student-athletes and their parents look at all aspects of the school they are considering. With Engstrom, UM is in fragile condition.

:?

Reporter: "Bobby, tell us, why did you choose to play for West Central Down River Tech as opposed to USC?"

Bobby: "Well, it came down to the fact that I really liked the President at WCDRT. He sold me on the program".

I heard Royce called TG into Main Hall after the UNDSU game. He said, "It's time for you to go. Pack up your shit, little pussy boy! You got something to say to my face, Bruh?"

Spanky, I hope the University has a new president soon.

Yet it is a huge............... stretch to suggest a recruit gives any thought to a school's administration.
They will look at everything else (scholastic offerings, campus, facilities, coaches, etc...) but not that.

Prukop is transferring to UM and bringing Cramsey with him as the new Defensive Coordinator.
You know he just won't play for any other coach.

1982....don't you think that recruits and their parents don't become aware of the enrollment problems and the coming cut backs at UM? Don't you think they will be concerned when it is discovered UM has a president that isn't capable of stopping a possible disaster?

better name one soon, or recruiting will severely suffer!!!

No it won't. We're on a two week recruiting freeze, so nothing can be done anyways.

I thought the recruiting freeze started on the 18 or 19th?

Yes Everett, BH would be AWESOME!!!!

Look at it from a different angle. If Engstrom was doing a bang-up job, UM's enrollment was growing, budgets were growing, programs were attracting more dollars and better faculty, of course that would be a huge plus. UM would be crowing from the rooftops. Believe me, MSU touts the differences, and these are still Moms and Dads ultimately involved in making these decisions. They want their kids to go to good schools. That simply can't be discounted.

Honest answer, no.

Unless they intended to enroll in a specific program about to be cut I doubt they're weighing the budget cuts. Nor do I suspect they care much about the enrollment decline the University experienced. U of M is still an attractive place to get a good education. It is still a great place for an athlete to play. It is still a wonderful place to attend college.

These things matter to us because we want to always see our school thrive. Some of the recent issues are beyond the control of Main Hall, but many of them are not. The current administration has been adrift almost from day one. They've watched as the ship took on water. There needs to be a change. I hope to see a change in leadership soon. Yet my concerns do not extend to football recruits.

BW could be right with his pick and can't say that would be horrible. I don't have stats, but our safeties and db's seemed much better this year. That can't be coincidence.
Must say, if Breske thought it good to finish out his years as DC of the Griz we would be one lucky town!
