I can't wait for South Dakota to surprise the Catz so their asshole posters will slink away and hide. And guess who's fan board will look exactly like this one, of fans pissing and moaning and wanting the whole coaching staff fired, if it happens.

As much as I want a Montana team to win the Natty so me and my Cat buddy can finally drink the Pendleton Director's Reserve bottle we've been passing back and forth the last few years to the Brawl winner, which will only be drunk when a NC happens, the trolls here are out of hand.

So what makes some of you believe that a Griz Coach had to "beg" Eli to stay? Did you ever stop to think, maybe he likes Missoula and wanted to stay on his own?

I don't know about "beg", but with today's college football, with the kids you want around, you have to recruit them every year.

Ask Dawn the next time you see her. One of the caveats to Eli coming back, was that his mom gets an apology for comments made after the SDSU game, from said offending coach. He didn't apologize and made another coach make the call. This is one of the reason why Eli is back, he had offers from FBS schools for6 times the money UM paid him to stay. Eli stayed because of a pledge he made to himself about Griz football before he showed up here. He wants to be great, he wants to be a Griz legend

I wish I had kept the receipts from the people saying that the Gillmans hate Bobby Hauck and that Eli will be gone.

I'm also not seeing the "dozens" of players leaving that some predicted, nor are were seeing a massive exodus of the sophomore class that some people claimed were going to leave because they aren't getting their shot on the field.

Almost like the sky isn't falling, and we shouldn't listen to the drama that some people stir up around the program constantly. Weird.

I mean realistically who could’ve transferred to a better place? Eli and Riley?? Anyone else who could transfer would be silly as playing for Montana is about as good of an atmosphere as you can get at the FCS level. If there were significant coaching issues you would see lots of guys leaving but I think its just a couple of players frustrated at the staff.

Oh, I'm with you. I had mentioned it earlier, but there were people on here claiming they totally had great inside information that "dozens" of players were going to be leaving the team because they were upset with the staff. Not that they wanted to move up to a "better" place in terms of opportunity, but that they were so mad about the Griz program they wanted to be anywhere else.

I was just pointing out that it was lies, and that "super insider info" was not coming from actual players on the team, and we barely lost anyone of substance. The only one who left due to being unhappy was Fife, and everybody knew that was coming.
