Edit: Bob Stitt will be announced as head coach today

Congratulation on finding a new head coach and it sounds like he should be a good one.

I was just wondering from Griz Nation perspective on why UM didn't go back to Hauck since he was very successful during his last run with the Griz.

Hey, jcu. UNLV just went you one step better hiring a high school coach to replace Hauck. You'll no doubt look just dandy in a Rebels sweat shirt. :thumb:
Dude you're stupid. Just because I don't like a hire doesn't mean ill stop being a fan or supporting. I just don't see any reason whatsoever as to why this is even close to a good hire? He has an exciting offense? Who gives a shit. Look at NDSU, tell me how exciting their offense is. Its not. But fans still love to watch it. Know why? Because they win..

Ooooooh Dude, the ultimate pejorative strikes again... I think I just read somebody suggesting that an exciting offense could be a negative for a team...yeah, and clean water and fresh air cause cancer
Cal Poly has a pretty exciting offense. So does MSU and EWU. NDSU has a super boring offense. They possibly could have 4 titles in a row. Its not about excitement. Its about execution. An exciting offense isn't just going to magically make a team a trillion times better.

Imagine EWU's exciting offense and our #1 ranked defense. That just might "magically" make a team a few times (maybe not a trillion) better....

Cal Poly has a pretty exciting offense... WHAT??? you are kidding right. If this was said for a reaction then here you go. The entire Cal Poly fan base is begging for something other than what they run right now! Plus, I know first hand that Coach Walsh WOULD run a more excitable scheme offensively but they just "...dont have the personnel" to do it.

Cant wait for Coach Stitt to shut up the nay-sayers & non-informed armchair QBs. Most of you were asking for a more dynamic offensive scheme to match our personnel. Haslam delivers for you & you criticize immediately???

I am so glad i dont have to hear or read Coach Delany (who is a great man) say Montana is Montana ever again. I was in San Luis Obispo & witnessed what that attitude got us on October 25th.

Stitt is the second coming of Don Reed but we get him in his coaching prime at 50yrs of age.

That's a good question. I wonder why nobody brought it up.

Alot of speculation on that question. I guess Bobby, Kent and Royce know the exact answer. I've gotten texts and emails from people on all sides. Everything from Royce not giving Bobby a real shot to Bobby deciding at some point in the process to pull his name out of the running, and lots of rumors in between. I'm sure others "in the know" know the whole story. But at this point, the story is moot anyway. The Griz hired a different Bob and the program is moving on. Don't suppose it really matters anymore why Hauck wasn't hired.

How many rushing ypg did they average? Cal Poly has a very exciting offense. If you know football.

That's rich, given who you're addressing that comment to.

Are you saying CP's offense isn't exciting? Any coach would laugh in your face.

No, I'm laughing at you for arguing with NPB about "knowing football". 8-)
He's forgotten more than you'll ever know. Or me. Combined.

The process is done, therefore moot, but yeah, IT DOES MATTER! This 'move on' sh*t is why the Griz are where they are. Those who don't learn from history are doomed to repeat it. I'd like to hear it straight from BH's mouth.

You mean like Hauck's 'history' of putting on-field success ahead of running a clean and respectable progam, and just being an all-around d-bag?
