just finished a heaping plate of over done crow. taste better when you win but still pretty bad. I thought we would look much better than we did. The Griz have a lot of work to do if they are going to compete with idaho and Sac.

All you had to do was watch last years D2 championship game to know this was going to be a battle. They have drop downs, 3 star athletes, etc., etc, just like the Griz. They offer schollies, just like the Griz. The only real reason they’re D2 is because of their location. They could move up tomorrow and be a top 25 FCS school.

No crow eaten here...Ferris State came to play. They are good. I thought we would win, but not by a lot....I was right. That said...I thought the Griz showed that they still need a lot of work before they can be called a top FCS program. I think coaching is key, and I am definitely not drinking the Hauck kool-aid.

But hell...Coach Prime and his ranked Buffs barely squeaked out a W over CSU last night. You never know when a team is going to show up. There is reason they actually play the game.

I’m glad we won, it sucks that it was nothing more than a scrimmage to the playoff committee though. Griz have to win 5 of their remaining 8 games for playoff eligibility and with the offense we saw tonight I’d be real surprised if we beat, Idaho, sac or Montana state. Still lots of tuneup time to get things together though with NAU and Idaho state on the horizon the next couple of weeks. Griz need to use those games to work on the passing game and getting the ball into playmakers hands.

There were a lot of people who thought this was going to be a blowout, as AZ said all you had to do was watch them play in last year’s championship game and you would have thought differently.

It is comical how people change from a blowout D2 to they are a top 20 FCS team.

Put it in perspective, go look at the numbers the #16 D2, Ashland, put against them last week. Compare them. Compare the environment they played in. They are good just not as good as people want them to be.

This is just a fan board, and the best in the FCS, why it is call “and the FCS”
