East-West Shrine Game

Holland had a key stop. Brekke took a beating. Arie Gray making adjustments now. 28-20 East. Not as impressed with Brekke as Saraceni.
 
Future Griz LBs Schye, east, and Holland, west, looking good. Josh Janssen is listed in the program as a CB for west but was in at receiver and had a catch. Josh Horner, rec, east, is a beast at 6'4 205 dwarfs the DBs and had his way. Looking forward to the future Griz!
 
saraceni looks like a stud but to be fair that line he's running behind is stacked. not to take anything away from him but to compare him and brekke doesn't seem to be apples to apples in my mind. but no doubt tech got a great one there.

of everyone in the first half i'm most impressed with schye. the dude is in on every single play no matter where it's at on the field. you guys got a great one there I believe.

had no idea that kid was that big! should be fun to watch in his senior season. sadly...neither the griz or cats will sniff this kid.
 
Mr Brekke, meet Mr Wall, Brick Wall. Ouch. Tra Ludeman very nice pass breakup. Can he play now for the Griz please?
 
You don't need to be Bill Polian to see who can play here. Mr. Schye is an animal !! Gunnar Brekke is a f.....g football player too. Gunnar was pouting earlier in the game. He literally walked out into position on "the" screen play...and was rewarded with a de-cleater :lol: Make no mistake he's quick and is a multi-faceted with his "tool belt". I'm pleasantly surprised with Horner. :) I saw he caught a ton of balls in the Badlands bowl...but his yards after the catch today is awesome. :egriz:
 
West goes up 31-28! Brekke doing hard duty. Getting yards but taking hits. Saraceni is the guy the BSC puked on. He is a man. Welcome to Tech!!!

If you're staying in town foe the night - I highly suggest the new martini bar above the Irish Times, the Post, which is about two blocks above Naranche Stadium. I should mention that they have beer & wine too. The Uptown Cafe has a great classy, sit down dinner too.
