Eagles New field

I don't see what the big deal is. Sac St. had its new Fieldturf altered as well to mirror its main color. You don't see us making a big stink ;)

A little unrelated, but why do they make bleachers with such a gradual slope. The upper rows seem like they are a mile away from the field. (Sac St. picture shows it well and MSU and EWU stands are similar.)
I would think they would want to save space an build them tall. Is it a wind or structural issue?

Yes, I know we are spoiled. I just wanted to ask.

Earthquakes. Would you rather fall from 100ft up or 250ft up?

Wa-Griz has more seating in the endzones than between the 20's, what is up with that? I'd rather be sloped back and view sideways than sitting in an endzone looking at things getting smaller.

Either way your probably dead. I would rather have a good view before I died.

Myself, I would pick 250 to make sure it happened.

They wanted a place to congregate us riffraff. So, they did a poll and found out that the riffraff among the Griz faithful outnumbered the others. Hence, more seating was required there.

And lastly, some photos of it so far:

Did anyone notice on this link that "you can make EWU history" by voting to nickname the turf. Here are the choices: Seems like "Red Zone" is in the lead. Can't imagine why "Big Red" isn't winning.
Who thought of these names?

Red Sea
Red Zone
Inferno
Big Red
Red Carpet
Ring of Fire
Lava Pit

Anyone got anything more creative to name the turf?

Couldn't post the link as it had expired on the net. A posters feelings about the red turf.

What’s black and white and red all over?

The project was jumpstarted by a 500K donation from color blind EWU Eagle alum and Tennessee Titan OL Michael Roos.

My suggested halftime show for the opener? Proto emo pop band Simply Red.

Some stadium name suggestions:

Eagle Stadium at Maxi-Pad Field

Custer's Last Stand was a good one.

Here's mine:
