Or it makes them mad, and then they blitz the conference. Like, if they weren’t on our schedule, I could maybe see where you’re coming from, but now if we beat EWU, it won’t be as good of a win as it would have been had they won this game. How is this so hard to understand?

And so are my arguments take them or leave them there is a potential silver lining behind a big sky conference foe losing in regular season (toward the beginning of the season have you) in non conference play .

While I understand that it's not good for the conference, this Griz fan is always happy when the Eags or Cats lose... Their fans have been absolutely obnoxious over the last ten years and I am ready for them to shut up for awhile. Our Griz just need to get back to beating everyone and whatever the rest of the conference does won't really matter.

EWU’s loss today is objectively bad for the Griz.

In the end we have to play well enough to make the brackets and take care of business anyway! Sure, it makes the conference stronger if EWU wins!If JSU goes undefeated from here on in, it’s not such a bad loss to them on their home turf! EWU could run the table in the conference and still make the playoffs-but we’ll beat them! We have Oregon tonight, and I just hope we stay with them and come out injury free! They’ve started out this way before and gone to the championship game. Totally fine with Eastern losing!

We don't usually get a whole lot of love from the Playoff committee each year anyway I'm terms of playoff spots, I like EWU losing TBH.

The way I see it, is you wanted EWU to beat a 16th ranked team.

First- Eagles would be higher seed/poll with win
Second - Griz would also get a bigger push for a seed/poll with a win against EWU.

I’d rather beat a top 5 EWU team, then a top 15 Eagle team.

I’d rather beat a top 5 EWU team, then a top 15 Eagle team.

The eagles fans on this board excused away giving up 31 to a D-2 school. “Well, we were up big, then a player got hurt”, “well, we took our foot off the gas”...except then they proceeded to give up 49 to Jacksonville Fucking State. Whether they want to admit it or not, they’ve got issues on their D. They gave up the same # of points to JSU in the last 180 seconds as we did in the entire 2nd half to Oregon. Their D is porous. Either that, or JSU is a world-beater that’s going all the way.

Well since we were talking about this year...in the other scenario, I suggest win more games, if you don't and leave it to chance, it is what it is.
