SWEET!!! I have a feeling he may be a stat sheet stuffer just like Cherry and Jamar, with some time.

We've seen quite a bit of video coverage of Mario (ton that I wouldn't like to see more!)...

It'd be fun to see -- even some brief clips -- of Brandon Gfeller as Colfax advances through the very tough Washington State playoff ladder.

I am computer clueless so I don't know how to upload videos. But, go to YouTube and type in Brandon Gfeller. The first clip shows one of the biggest shots in Colfax history. For you real basketball junkies the whole state championship game from 2012 is also there.

hey, remember this thread? anyway, california high school playoffs are underway, and i have neither any idea how they work nor any inclination to find out. in any case, mario dunn's team played a team from santa rosa, cardinal newman, with a record of 29-3, and sad to say, great as salesian has been this year (30-3), they simply could not quite double the score on the hapless cardinal, winning merely 65-34. dunn had 20, tying prized cal recruit, jabari bird, for scoring honors. i saw one replay this morning where dunn stole the ball and beat a defender downcourt for the bucket, even though the defender started out with the better angle and no ball to dribble. dunn is quick. more disgrace for cardinals, from here to rome.

Keep the updates a coming, and if you find any videos, please post it . :thumb:

Watched gfeller in the Washington 2B chipper last night...he played very poorly, really struggled with the speed and quickness of the other team. Had a very difficult time trying to manufacture any type of shot for himself. To his defense, his entire team looked offensively inept, and they were only worried about gfeller and played him physical, not giving him an inch. His team played the winner 5 times, lost all 5, and gfeller struggled scoring against them in every game.

Here's a story on the California State Regional 14 Championship game won by Salesian H. S. over Cardinal Newman 65-34.

Here's a brief outtake from the story:

Montana-bound Mario Dunn and Cal-bound Jabari Bird each scored 20 points for the Pride. Dunn scored 12 points in an instrumental third quarter that saw Salesian's four-point halftime lead balloon into a 51-26 lead after three quarters.
"He always has been a heart and soul kind of guy," Salesian coach Bill Mellis said of Dunn. "We go when he goes."

Awesome, good to know the GRIZ will be strong at guard for at least 4 more years.

Dunn's Salesian team is the #1 seed on the Northern CA side of the Open Division tournament with a potential monster match-up against Sacramento Sheldon in the 2nd round. Sheldon has two ESPN top-100 recruits, one heading to Washington the other to San Diego St., with a third high-end recruit also going to SDSU. Would pay good $$ to watch that game, should be a doozy.
