The 2d allegation came up at his sentencing hearing. A woman said he had tried to do the same thing to her several years earlier, but had not succeeded. Don't think she actually appeared at the hearing, but her testimony or transcript or something was allowed. This was in the newspaper at the time, and it's in the Krakauer book. "Testimony" like this isn't considered to be as valid, because it's just something someone said, and it was challenged by anyone questioning her or an attorney for the other side.

Growler, I've never said I was important to Griz football or athletics. Never said I would withhold donations because Hauck wasn't hired. However, I knew all of the coaches in the prior staffs, and I know most of the coaches in the current staff (and have met all of them), including Stitt. Stitt's teammate and roommate in college is one of my best friends, and will be attending the NDSU game. Bet I spend more time with Stitt that weekend than you do. I am confident my relationships with the players and parents that I know are all good. I also know that virtually every player or parent who is aware of you, thinks you are a total idiot. The Mo Club bartenders also think you're an idiot too. I get texts from them occasionally saying that dumb shit Dill is in here again.

Although neither is admissible in court, they are both used to measure success in treatment and for the recommendation of the forensic psychologists.

Rape produces post traumatic stress disorder. In other words some people CANT get over it. They want to, but can't. Some people do get over it but continue to talk about in order to help others. Many rape victims don't say a word and live out there lives as a shell of themselves. Some just move on like you want them to, since it's what's best for PR.
If you want to talk about people who need to move on (aka get a life) there are also people who will say and do nearly anything to keep their precious favorite sports teams in a positive light. These people are called Win At All Cost fans.

Like most stiff corporate lawyers I know, PR has trouble articulating clearly common-man or common sense positions. Let me try to help and "splain" what I believe he was trying to say.
Victims of tragic crimes/events, whether a plane crash, early cancer death, mugging, murder or rape, don't choose to be victims of crimes or accidents. However, how those individuals react to those events, is solely within their free will birthright of choice.
Abraham Lincoln once noted (and I'm paraphrasing) "most people are as happy as they make their minds up to be." You can choose to be consumed by any injury or loss, or you can choose to get over it and get on with life, perhaps even finding strength you didn't know you had.
As applied to the event of rape, I think he's advocating the "Gus" principle in Lonesome Dove when Gus finds the girl after she was raped: "It shouldn't have happened, but it did. It's over now, and life moves on." Practical? Yes. Compassionate? Actually for healthy life from then on, perhaps yes as well.
Life is for the living, and if victims of crimes decide to let that hunt them and their loved ones forever, well then they've given the criminal continued power over them they shouldn't, and they become victims of themselves. (Interjecting a comparison of which event/crime is worse, or which tragedy/crime PR would swap for another, only derails the message).
