To respond:
-Talk basketball
-It's ok, I wouldn't expect much from you
-Just a guy who is curious
-24

Now, do you care to respond to any of my posts where I proved you wrong? Or are you just going to keep picking and choosing? Are you just on here to piss me off? You started a battle that you cannot win. Be a man, and admit you were wrong about so many things earlier. Stop trying to match wits, because it will never happen for you.

I think it's fairly obvious your curious. Just do me and everyone else on here a favor and stick to basketball and stroking the Zags. No one on here cares what my major is and I get sick of wasting my time reading your pointless posts. Stick to the topic and quit with the "be a man" stuff. Are you seriously telling me to be a man over a basketball message board? Get real.

-My curious what?
-OK
-I do
-You need to
-Yes
-Do you really think I don't exist, corn?

Once again, umdeez, you have out done me...

BTW, Swill. I think Lou was trying to say that he wasn't comparing the two sports. He was comparing the fans of UM FB who think they would have a shot if they moved up (umdeez's words, not his) and the fans of GU BB who think they are big-time. Neither one of these hypothetical fans is well-grounded in fact, but Lou's point was that the GU BB fan can make a lot better case than the UM FB fan in this regard. So, umdeez's likening of the GU BB fan to the UM FB fan is weak, at best.

UM FB gets trounced by 1A
GU goes 9-1 vs. ACC
etc.
etc.
etc.

He's not comparing the two sports, just the fans of the two sports.

Thanks CDA, but it's no use. Swilly just doesn't understand the argument that umdeez and I were having. He likes to jump in to conversations without knowing what he's talking about. It's ok, I'm getting used to it on this site.

Dont fucking start with me on this bullshit. I bring up valid points and debate them accordingly. Dont bring up my age because I know alot more than your average 17 year old. Gets tiresome after awhile looking past the "age jokes" honestly.

Where are louie and Cdagriz??? You wonder why everyone outside of you two doesn't give Gonzaga the respect you feel they deserve? They lost tonight by 10 to the PAC-10 doormat. I know what Zag fans are gonna say. Wazzu is a good team, look at their record. No there not! They beat Boise State at home by 2...the Griz beat Boise State. For anyone that thinks that Gonzaga would be at the top of the Pac-10 year in and year out...this should be a reality check.

Headline news on ESPN:

"ATTENTION COLLEGE BASKETBALL FANS: GONZAGA DROPPED A GAME AND THEIR SEASON IS NOW OVER. ANYTHING LESS THAN 33-1 IS UNNACCEPTABLE, THE ZAGS SHOULD DROP THEIR MENS BASKETBALL PROGRAM IMMEDIATLY"

deezy, you are pretty good at making something out of nothing. If someone told Zag fans that they were 8-2 at this point of the season with wins over North Carolina and Texas, I don't think they would be dissapointed the least bit. Gonzaga has been getting PLENTY of respect from analyzers all over the country this year so I'm not sure what you are talking about. I can see the Zags getting wins over UDub and Duke and then they lose to Virginia and you'll hop on to claim that the Zags are shit. You are amusing dude.

As for Wazzu, I'm really pulling for them for this to be their breakout year. They're due. This was a good start. They have 2 other wins over 2 solid programs, UAB and Wis-Mil (neither who are doing great this year though), and they have plenty of talented players that work well within the coaches system. How well the Pac-10 is doing this year, I think a 6th or 7th place finish or better could get them into the tourney. I think they can do better though, maybe 4th or 5th place.

Does anyone else find it perfectly fitting that this person above, that being a kind description, whom believes that there are individuals with the title: basketball "analyzers," is the same person who thinks a team that finishes 6th or 7th in the Pac 10 will make the field of 64? Each statement is equally devoid of any type of logic. Save, a basketball analyzer being a basketball analyst with a higher level of sonority, or specialization. These senseless deductions belong on the MSU Northern e-board, where they might be able to blend in, but even that may be impossible.
Most of these arguments by Zag fans are exhausted platitudes. When the season is over, and Zaga has another unfulfilling postseason, despite a high seed, most of these claims will be seen as exactly what they are: false attempts desperately reaching for national acceptance. Yet this acceptance will not occur until these “few good men” shelve their Roger Dorin, Olay like defensive tactics, which, coincidentally, allowed Washington State’s second highest output of the season, just behind Radford’s staunch effort.
The Zag team would be better served to mimic their defensive efforts after their campus and the surrounding railways and industrial yards. Infuse the: industrial, plain, grubby, rough, distressing, and intimidating characteristics of the campus and adjacent areas into their defensive style. This may bring about infrequent defensive stops. Their arena overlooks a seemingly defunct railway yard, so reminders are not far. T.J. Ekleburg’s eyes are watching the campus somewhere, and they, like anyone else, would not like Zag defense failing to be indicative of their surroundings.

WOW! not to echo thebigticket but "BASKETBALL ANALYZERS"???? and the 6th or 7th place team in the Pac-10 will make the tourney??? The Pac-10 isn't the Big East. The day they get 7 teams in is the day Gonzaga makes a final four. Neither are happening any time soon.

In 2002, 6 teams got in from the Pac 10, so it's not that bizzarre of a statement that ths could be a repeat year (keep in mind the 6th place team doesn't always have a better resume than the 7th place team).

As of right now, there are 6 teams from the Pac 10 in the top 62 in the RPI with Stanford at 82 and plus USC who is suppose to have a hell of a team this year. With Arizona, UCLA, Oregon and Cal in the top 15, you can expect the rest of the conference's RPI to move up soon as conference play begins.

Additionally, the conference has wins over Illinois, Kentucky, Georgia Tech, Georgetown, Gonzaga, UAB, and Texas Tech. The conference is having a great year thus far, I don't think my statement was idiotic the least bit. You are entitled to your opinion, and I understand yours, but you must understand mine as well, although you may not agree with it. I am merely speculating the possibilities of the season, not predicting definitive answers.

Secondly, your critique over "analyzers" is obnoxious to say the least, and I think you know that.

Iamyou,
Welcome to my world. You try to go on the board and state your opinions and talk basketball, but you get guys like umdeez that just want to naysay everything you write. Don't get too worked up over him, he is the type of guy that just likes to disagree with whatever anyone says. He doesn't have any valid points and doesn't have a team to root for. It makes him feel better to make fun of other people and other teams rather than root for his own.

PAC 10 has three teams in the top 25: #1, 8, 15

Big East also has three: #4, 12, 25

Yeah doesn't sound like the Pac 10 could compete with the big bad Big East. The big east is not as good as you think they are umdeez.

This is what happens when MS Word decides to put a built-in thesaurus on the toolbar.

Let's play CONVEY THAT POINT!!! I can do it in 4 lines, here goes:

-IamYou used a word incorrectly and made a false claim.
-Gonzaga fans will have nothing to cheer about until GU plays better D.
-The Zags would be better served to play D like the campus's surroundings. (non-sensical)
-If the Zags play D as described, it may bring about infrequent stops. (how is that better served?)

I win.

PS-before you start a career as a proofreader, define OLAY for me and tell me why it's used in the above context. Also, do the same for SONORITY, which might work in the above context if you were referring to a BB announcer.

We'll see if WSU is the Pac-10 doormat (remember you said it, kay?).

Looking at WSU's record (9-1) doesn't show me anything but a solid team.

I know what you're implying, but you're going about it wrong. The Egriz Team Legitimacy Logic works like this:

Griz beat Boise State who beat BYU who beat S. Utah who beat Utah who beat WSU who beat Gonzaga who beat UNC.....So, the griz would beat UNC.

Yes, you finally have a good point. Problem is, I don't think anyone here believes the ZAGS would win the Pac-10 every year.
