Does Stitt Have Supporters?

You would almost think 75 was cut out for a position more important than what equates to a greeter at walmart.
I do get a kick out of your nasty little asides when you don't have anything to actually say. It's really clever: "I think I'll just try and insult him!" Of course, Payton always gets right on it.

....see....I told you.....75 reads.....your posts....now pay up....basket.....

It's like egriz has its own little Court Jester, as HH dances around from thread to thread, thinking that insulting various posters passes for commentary, instead of merely entertainment. Oh look, here he comes again. Isn't he cute?

damn, nostradamus (ahem), you predicted my thoughts exactly after i saw your avatar next to yet another long-winded looking post. good job! gee, i wonder what the themes of your post will be? hmmm. not sure i need a swami to predict that...

I'm rooting for the guy...changing the coach now sets us back a year or two again. I am definitely not happy with the job he did this year...no excuses for that. We're trying to match what EWU is doing to a degree by revamping the offense. This team will be better next year...and in two years could be scary good.

The current situation at the University of Colorado also has some relevance in the discussion. Mike MacIntyre was brought in to resurrect a moribund Buffaloes program in 2013. Coming from San Jose State, where he upgraded a perennially weak MWC program, he went 10 and 27 in his first three years in Boulder. Then there was this year - a 180 degree turnaround only needing to beat Utah Saturday to win the PAC-12 North division coming in with a 9-2 overall and 7- 1 in conference. Those seven wins are more than CU accumulated total over its first five years in the PAC-12!...However, unlike Stitt coming to UM - MacIntyre came to Colorado knowing what it would take to win at the FBS level. Even at SJS, he coached against FBS competition going 1-12, 5-7 and 10-2 in three successive seasons. That's the "trajectory" the thread likes to reference - and CU's AD saw. His biggest problem now will be keeping MacIntyre, who is the odds on favorite to win FBS coach-of-the-year honors...

Very concerned about perceived decline in Montana recruiting and if the team has lost mojo or if he has lost the lockeroom. Not sayin it's so, but those are the deal breakers for me. Let's see what the 3rd year brings. As a Griz fan I am entitled to 8 or more wins, a Cat stomping and a deep playoff run, right?

You are, ButteGrizzle, you are. Or anyway that is what we have come to expect. :)

Can't tell if this is a serious post or what. Getting to 7-4 for you guys next year is going to be an extremely tall order. My early guess is 6-5. (BTW I almost nailed your record for 2016 with my 7-4 prediction but obviously thought you'd win one more game.)

If the griz improve at all in any of the three phases 8 wins is very possible.
UofW is only guranteed loss on schedule. Ewu,und and nau all at home. Msu will be improved however not a impossible win in bozeman. Weber in ogden will be tough but doable.I believe unc at home too.

Based on that late season collapse, and consider what my very mediocre CATS did to you in your own house, I'm going to go ahead and say EWU beating you is pretty much a given early season as you're breaking in several new players, not the least of which.... QB. So that's two sure losses right there. You'l beat Valpo and I'll give you ISU even though you'll be going there and we all remember what happened last time you went there to face Kramer. So that leaves PSU, Weber, UND, NAU, UNC, and MSU. You might win half those games. 6-5.

Without question we will all know about this time next year. I Still have hope for Stitt, I just can't bring my self to throw the baby out with the bathwater yet. Nothing to be gained by wishing him failure. If its like this next season then absolutely its time to move on barring a major injury season.

All I have to say is I am not a fan of Stitts gimmick offense and defense wins championships. For those reasons and our current position I am not a fan of Stitt
