Damn - you know the D wanted to have a shutout

I’d rather have them score and not have late game injuries to starters.

No doubt but you know the backups wanted to keep 'em out
Good game film experience for backups though.

The definition of an ugly win. This game was so frustrating to watch. I’m glad that the O got it together somewhat during the second half. Lots to work on.

I was feeling pretty good about our future schedule, but after this game, not so much.

Same. My expectations for how we finish this year have taken a huge hit. Sac state next week then three of the next four are road games…

And that’s not a Kris Brown slam….there are just way too many injuries and weaknesses on this team to have NC aspirations at this point.

Biggest thing I took away from this game is that sac state is no gimme game next week. Not sure we win that game playing the way we did today.

Much better second half. We were very stagnant with poor play calling in the first half. Good experience for the younger guys. Hopefully we get some bodies back next week. Probably unlikely that Cams back next week but you never know. We’re 4-1 which is a great start, now back to conference play next week. Get healthy Grizzlies.

One of the hallmarks of previous BH coached teams was they improved as the season progressed. Hopefully these injuries don't disrupt it...

Well they say a win is a win. I will take it. But unless the Griz team overlooked Dixie or the coaches didn’t want to give much tape to BSC foes on what this team is with KB, we could be in for a long haul rest of the season.
I HOPE it was staff keeping a lid on the O.

Every season has injuries, next man needs to step up and do their job. Kris Brown still learning but at least we are giving a 2nd QB some playing time and experience. I think another week under his belt he’ll be ready for Sac St. Dixie State came to play their QBs and some of their other players were pretty good athletes. If Griz can get an offense that can play 4 quarters, sustain drives, score points then we can play with anyone in the FCS.

on egriz, it is blahbby ball. his team won because they had superior strength on the o-line, and on defense. i like the tall qb from dixie, maybe he should transport to missoula through the magical portal?

anyway, regarding dixie state, if they had better lines on offense or even just defense, they would be a good team. they were used to 'playing up', played up, and weren't the soothing balm kem predicted.

Brown will be fine. Needs to do a better job of reading the defense and holding on to the damn ball. His first game as a starter, looked pretty good. He's a freshman. Has lots to learn and has nowhere to go besides up. Excited to see him the next 3 years.

To me our offensive front line wasn't dominate. Our general offense was vanilla. Our pass game was poor. I don't think we deserve the ranking we have. Based upon today's game I don't feel we will go deep in the playoffs if we get there at all.

We have what we have - great D and average O. Our QB play is average and our offensive line play is average+.

Looks like play calling to put Brown in a position to be successful is a must. Made some great throws and some poor throws. Not much different from Can in my opinion. I-line is going to have to step up big time. Run game was nice today. Honestly could have gone without throwing a pass most of the game and been in as good or better shape. On to next week.

This team has a great defense, that doesn’t come along very often and can carry a struggling offense…to a point. Nobody can stop the flood waters forever if they’re hung out for 40 minutes.

Brown will improve, he’s got one under his belt now and will feel more comfortable next time out. That said, the struggles of the running game are concerning and I’m not sure that being way down the RB roster is the entire issue…the O-line is not exactly overwhelming people. That will make things tougher if it continues.

We’re still in this thing, and we have a seasoned coaching staff to make this work. Let’s see how they do.

Pretty wild how the numbers come out.

Brown: 20-30 passing, 241 yards, 3 TD's (2 were rushing), 1 INT, 67% completion, 138.5 rating.

Bobby sounded pretty enthused about the win in the press conference. He said they had a tough week of practice with multiple guys getting injured, and it was a constant distraction because they didn’t know who was gonna be able to play and who wasn’t. He said that he thought Brown played just fine and it was a bad week of practice. Just gotta get some bodies back.

The running game isn't struggling. It's the best part of our offense. We have a damn good run game and considering the 2 rbs are freshman, is extremely impressive.
