Did true frosh safety Beaner start at corner?

The Beaners were a great pickup, and hopefully with them being twins we are more likely to keep them rather than one transfer away. True freshmen will always struggle, even just physically. There is a big difference between a high school varsity body and a college body. But these reps will be strong and help him grow.

If anyone is interested, these two were considered a really big deal at the school they came out of. I was reading quite a bit about them at the time, and terms like "transforming a program" and "true leadership" were being thrown around. I think these two are going to end up being big time players.

There are a lot more out there. These kids got a lot of press. These kids just might be ballers!

Did he play at an A+ level? No. Did he contribute and work through some inconsistency? Yes. It is absolutely ridiculous that as a true freshman he is able to play out of position and contribute? Absolutely.
I think it's fine to criticize coaches and players if done appropriately. Saying he is trash is not the way to do it. Let me demonstrate for ya..."He will learn that when contain, he should not spin back into the play and give up the edge. Bad play. He will learn from it."
or "Ford is getting beat in man way too frequently. Much better as a zone corner"
Let's be honest. Many of us, me included, have said certain players or coaches have done poorly or made poor decisions. It is part of being a fanatic. Just do it with class.

It's embarrassing and demonstrates how entitled some eGriz posters are. I wonder how they would feel if we called them out publicly on their performance miscues at work, home, and school.
Yep. I will never understand people who never played for the Grizzlies thinking that getting on the internet to bash players and coaches by name is at all a decent thing to do. It took me a while, but I finally realized most posters on here don't actually understand the nuance of football beyond the play calls they saw on Madden and what the announcers tell them to think on air. The fact that people still complain about our "play calling" without acknowledging what an RPO heavy offense we have been in Bobby 2.0 tells you everything you need to know.

Think of the fact as well that Bobby absolutely hates playing True freshman. It goes against every fiber of his being as he is so big on them developing both physically and athletically before getting on the field. The fact he is playing a true freshman says a lot about this young man.

This kid has been thrown in the fire. The coaches know what they’re doing and put him in there based on how capable they think he is vs. other guys on the team. Trust the process. Bobby has done a great job with his football team this year. All haters kindly shut the fuck up. Praise our undefeated team and tip of the cap to the staff. My work here is done.

I have played the game, coached, and been around hall of fame coaches while on the sidelines covering sports (not that this matters in life other than...), so I have been around some things. That said...sometimes there are dumbass play calls that aren't RPO. hahahaha

You are totally not wrong! I just find it wild that so many people will criticize the play calling without acknowledging those other factors.

Fat, drunk and stupid is no way to go through life.

That should cover about 85% of them in one simple blanket statement.
