Did JJ get removed from Payton Watch?

JJ did not set any efficiency records, had great numbers for a couple of games, he ended at 154.67 which would put him in the top 10 but definitely not record breaking.
He set a Big Sky single-game passing efficiency record of 322.3, when he was 15-of-19-0 for 354 yards and five TDs at North Dakota. (The old record was 310.4, set by Eastern Washington's Mark Tenneson in 1992).

You might not remember this game when he set the efficiency record because the Griz were playing a crappy team no one cares about.

I do agree with you though that it will come down to Prukop and Robertson from Nova. Prukop should be able to put up some amazing numbers given the 'Cats schedule for the next 4 games (assuming 'Cat fans were wrong about the wind and cold hampering Prukop's performance against UND in September). However he will also be battling ECB, which is very hard to overcome.

I was at that game, it is an accomplishment, I was not talking single games. For anyone to do that is quite amazing, against any team. Pretty close to perfection as a QB.

I agree wind is a bitch for anyone, especially if you have an offense that is mostly driven by passing. If the UND game would have been at the Alerus it would have gotten ugly, even with 4 starting receivers, and Knight out.

I like Robertson, and Villanova is the best team I have watched this year. i think his lack of rushing TD's at this point make it harder for him. A lot of season left, a lot can happen. I would crown anyone yet, except for VA if he wasn't hurt.

Here are some real numbers on cold for you. http://freakonomics.com/2012/01/13/football-freakonomics-the-frozen-conundrum/

"As Brian Burke at Advanced NFL Stats determined after analyzing scoring during the 2002-2006 seasons: “It doesn’t appear that cold weather reduces scoring.” Cold weather does, however, seem “to slightly enhance the spread between winner and loser by depressing the score of the loser."

They won't let the facts get in the way of their opinion.
Prukop can run the zone read perfectly. That is what makes him so crazy good, besides being able to throw dimes and out run entire defenses. No way you could insert another talented qb like JJ and get the same results. It's a unique skillset to be able to run that offense like Prukop does, and it is what sets him apart.

You do realize that JJ ran the zone read his entire high school career and his first two years here under Pflugrad, right? His proficiency at the zone read (or read option) was the entire reason he was recruited here in the first place. JJ was running the zone read when he took us to the FCS semifinals against Sam Houston (and nearly won). This is saying nothing about how he compares directly to Prukop, but to say he wouldn't run the same offense nearly as well is just straight ignorant.

Comparing the offense JJ ran back when you lost to SHSU to the offense that Prukop runs currently is straight up ignorant griz homer garbage. All trolling aside, Prukop makes JJ look pedestrian at best. You can't compare JJ to Prukop, period. And that is not to take anything away from JJ, his record speaks for itself. It is all about Prukop and him being that much better. Are you paying attention to the stats, articles, etc (no, not on BN or local papers- but rather national recognition) ?

You're a fucking tool, bobcat fan!

Ironeagle, you are a lot off base regarding JJ. I doubt Adams, Prukop, or any BSC qb would be putting up big numbers if they were in JJ's situation. He showed what he could when we had much better play calling, and an experienced OL. JJ would likely be putting up huge numbers in the Cat or EWU system too. Based on the situation for each qb, yes JJ's numbers are pedestrian, compared to Adams and Prukop. It does not change that he is one hell of a qb and person. Unfortunate circumstances for him and everyone on the offensive side of the ball for the GRIZ.

Whatever troll.

What is it with all the cat trolls pretending to be fans of other teams? Although, when I think through it, I mean, I'd be damn embarrased to be a cat fan, so maybe that's it.

Either you do not love football or don't have a clue. If you loved the game of football you would cherish being able to watch a talent like him play. I you don't think his talents are amazing, you are just a person that is a homer and clueless. Maybe you should listen to some of the Griz fans talk about him. You bitching about it isn't going to make it better

Here, quit being naive and ignorant

I don't expect an msu grad to read, but I already said much earlier in this thread he was a good player. Now, why don't you just admit what ALL of us have known for months and that's that you're a f-cking cat fan who is too embarrassed (for good reasons mind you) to admit it. You're a pussy in more ways than one.

Pussy, man you are something else. What are you in third grade, I mean really? I embarrassed for you. Just grow up.

Now Mr naive. I have never once said I wasnt a Cat Fan.
1. Grew up a Cat Fan-lived in Bozeman when my Dad attended college there during the Dennis Erickson, Joe Tiller, and Jan Stenrud days
2. Didn't attend college there. I went to UND as we moved to ND after my sophomore year, wouldn't have attended a Montana school due to wrestling anyway.
3. My wife is a Montanan also and graduated from UM

I am embarrassed for the Griz, to have a person that acts like a third grader as a fan.

Now quit Reverse Trolling,

Ummmm, what now again? Not sure about the rules on bcn. No doubt they're more liberal concerning sense. However, We prefer discernible English on this board.

Thanks for proving my point.

If you grow up next year I will visit you for the Griz/Bison game, or maybe the Cat/Griz game. If not and you travel through Fargo pm me, I am always amazed when I meet people in person, and watch their attitude, and physiology change. When a person runs out of facts that support their claim, they will always result to name calling, and at that point they have lost the argument and all credibility.

With that you are done, but please, and truly mean it please look me up it will be fun.

Robert Martin (easy to find, my wife's name is in the Alum book as she does the Cat/Griz games in Fargo, ND with another gentleman)

I always have wondered how many keyboard fans would wear a shirt to every game they go to home and away with their "Internet Handle" on it. It should be mandatory.

This whole thing is way off base. Let's remember kids this is about young men playing a game and at a level they will be proud of. JJ and dakota are two of those young men that are the best at they're position.

You are absolutely correct, and I bet they respect each others abilities, as they should.

Conversation-an informal talk involving two people or a small group of people.

If you read you will find I was in the conversation.

"Dumbass"? Might be a good idea to think before you post next time, it doesn't help your know-it-all persona.

HA!

You gotta love a guy who gets slammed to the mat with a stinging burn, staggers out of the ring barely conscious, watches one of his moronic friends attempt (and fail) to repeat the very same slam, and comes back with "touche'"

I may not sleep a wink tonight because every time I think about that, I'm going to laugh so hard the bed will shake.
