My bad.
IroneagleXP said:Prukop can run the zone read perfectly. That is what makes him so crazy good, besides being able to throw dimes and out run entire defenses. No way you could insert another talented qb like JJ and get the same results. It's a unique skillset to be able to run that offense like Prukop does, and it is what sets him apart.LongTimeCatFan said:Robsnotes4u said:HookedonGriz said:I am quite certain that was the point this poster was trying to make. That is what is she telling fact in all of this. If JJ was running the bobcat offense right now he would look every bit as good as Prukop (2011 ring a bell). If Prukop was running the Griz offense right now he'd look just as regular as JJ. It's crazy how big of a difference the right scheme for the right qb can make.

You do realize that JJ ran the zone read his entire high school career and his first two years here under Pflugrad, right? His proficiency at the zone read (or read option) was the entire reason he was recruited here in the first place. JJ was running the zone read when he took us to the FCS semifinals against Sam Houston (and nearly won). This is saying nothing about how he compares directly to Prukop, but to say he wouldn't run the same offense nearly as well is just straight ignorant.
Obviously. Gosh I mean, yeah, that's obvious that I missed his profile piece. I mean, just read what I wrote. My bad, it's just that I really don't get sarcasm. I pretty much rely on people like David2 to fill me in when someone is being sarcastic.grizzpa said:Obviously the two name calling geniuses JCU and Grizpeer can't read the profile piece that says "I am a fan of inept offenses". Instead, they set out to change the discussion to name calling. Smooooth!

If this is about the Payton my guess is neither JJ nor Prukop will it. Last year when JJ was setting efficiency records folks made reference to a lack of competition. Finicky bunch I guess. Bottom line is who plays well in the post season.

It will be a battle. It will be MSU OL vs UM DL. MSU just has too many weapons to keep up man. Simple as that, but we will see come Nov.

Comparing the offense JJ ran back when you lost to SHSU to the offense that Prukop runs currently is straight up ignorant griz homer garbage. All trolling aside, Prukop makes JJ look pedestrian at best. You can't compare JJ to Prukop, period. And that is not to take anything away from JJ, his record speaks for itself. It is all about Prukop and him being that much better. Are you paying attention to the stats, articles, etc (no, not on BN or local papers- but rather national recognition) ?

Whatever troll.
What is it with all the cat trolls pretending to be fans of other teams? Although, when I think through it, I mean, I'd be damn embarrased to be a cat fan, so maybe that's it.
