Did JJ get removed from Payton Watch?

Maybe if you weren't so dumb it'd be obvious. HookedonGriz had no issue figuring it out...
Or maybe idiots can figure other idiots out fairly well? Idk just a theory.

Yep. I hate to say it, but JJ isn't even the best QB in the BSC, let alone best offensive player in FCS.

Based on his play this year, I agree. However, I find it interesting as a true soph. JJ was a better QB than he is now as a 5th year senior...
You ever realize its because of the offensive scheme and shitty O-line? Don't be dumb.

I am quite certain that was the point this poster was trying to make. That is what is she telling fact in all of this. If JJ was running the bobcat offense right now he would look every bit as good as Prukop (2011 ring a bell). If Prukop was running the Griz offense right now he'd look just as regular as JJ. It's crazy how big of a difference the right scheme for the right qb can make.

JJ 2011
13 games
205 for 343 (59.8%)
2,400 yards
21 TD 9 Int
133.5 passing efficiency
89 rushes for 506 yards
4 TD
12.31 points responsible for a game

Prukop 2014
7 games
121 for 175 (69.1%)
1859 yards
17 TD 4 Int
185.9 passing efficiency
105 rushes for 608 yards
11 TD
24 points responsible for a game

You'll have to excuse JCU. He's a lil slow...

Thanks for spelling it out for him.

Well this is e-Griz so I was gonna give him the benefit of the doubt :). but he may even be behind e-Griz standards with not picking up on that. Now that is frightening.

Obviously the two name calling geniuses JCU and Grizpeer can't read the profile piece that says "I am a fan of inept offenses". Instead, they set out to change the discussion to name calling. Smooooth!

You & Grizbeer have it down, so I'd say your theory has been tested and approved...

JJ led his team to a national semifinal appearance, and damn near a NC one. Prukop looks great, but he has a long ways to go to even match that, let alone better it.

Am I missing something, or are we running the exact same offensive as last year that scored 37 ppg? Almost the exact same skill players too, with the exception of a healthy Henderson, which obviously makes a huge difference.

I would be willing to bet that JJ will be more than happy with wins before personal accolades. It surprises me how some on here make something out of absolutely nothing. Its pretty obvious how important JJ is to Montana for the plain fact und made sure he couldn't finish the game So lets see how the season shapes up before ya'all crown any victors or spoils. JJ will be just fine :thumb:

Yes, but the Payton Award, which this thread is about, is not based on winning a National Championship. Brock Jensen, the winning QB in FCS history, never won the Payton. It is an individual award not a team award. Look at Jensen, playing for Omaha in the XFL, and Garoppolo, last years winner, plays for the Patriots. Who would you rather be? and who is the better player?

Prukop can run the zone read perfectly. That is what makes him so crazy good, besides being able to throw dimes and out run entire defenses. No way you could insert another talented qb like JJ and get the same results. It's a unique skillset to be able to run that offense like Prukop does, and it is what sets him apart.

Was he? He had a couple of good games at the end of the year and in playoffs. We also had a significantly better offensive line.

Yes, it happened and is fact.

It is also the chickenshit, bitch copout for every cat troll, like yourself, on this board.

What happened on the field is also a fact, and you can't talk your way out of that.
