Did Brock Coyle

George Ferguson

Well-known member
Do enough today to win the Big Sky Defensive POY, or does Daly still hold on to it? Brock has been so incredible the past two seasons actually. Maybe they share it. Many times, players have shared the offensive award. Maybe Coyle and Daly split it this year. Guess we'll know on Tuesday.

Brock has been an unsung hero, shadowed by others. He is the ROCK of this defense and is always reeking havoc with offenses. He will not get it, but everyone knows who and what he is. We will see him play on Sundays before anyone else does from this team IMHO.

Hard to compete with 14 sacks... but man... he might have a great argument for it. Thinking about the BEST defensive player that has made the most impact on a team's overall season... it's Coyle more than Daly, IMO

How many of those came in the D2 game? Brock deserves it

+1
Brock didn't have two D II games to inflate his stats.

I paid very close attention to LB play when I saw the USD game. Coyle sold me as the best LB. Tripp is certainly deserving of the praise too. I think each will have a shot at Sundays.

I like it when we ridicule Tripp for being out of position even when makes a play. Then we congratulate Coyle. He was outta position more than a few times today. That being said....he's agreat player and he has been the rock of the defense this year
