If you knew anything about history it is quite possible that his ancestors were slaves that were owned by a person that had irish heritage and the name McGhee. So Yeah it actually would be considered racist, insulting and completely immoral to call such a person the "Irish Lad"

Since player rep claims Native American heritage would it be racist to call him "Chief", somewhere in his heritage there was probably a "Chief" right.

If you're talking about slaves in the US, Irish people were also slaves. Do some research. Racist. I have Irish in me and find that deeply offensive. However my Spanish side did have slaves

ya dirty "Mick"

evidently reading comprehension isn't a skill of yours, the point being made was that not all peoples names are due to their actual heritage, many slaves were given the last name of the slaves owner as a sign of ownership.

Holy shit... this thread...

This may be the weirdest direction a thread has taken all season...

Uhh...back on topic... I do agree that if McKinney played in the game against the Cats our chances of pulling out the upset would have been dramatically increased.

We might have still lost, who knows... but I like our chances with a more mobile QB back there so the D can't just focus on our RBs and ignore the QB.

That said.... you guys can go ahead and go back to your odd discussion...

You know, there's only one way to settle this dispute. Time to break out the shillelaghs and bash each others noggins for a while!

PR don't you have your own Irish QB you should be paying homage to? I mean, if its such a compliment and all...

You're a racist old man

Not racist at all. You obviously don't even know what racism is. You are a dumbass. Always have been on the board; always will be.

It's clearly the most racist and offensive thing I've ever seen. You are pathetic.
I agree

I am going to have to respectfully disagree. There were a few passes made my Shay that actually hit the receiver's hands and they did not hold on. Not counting the obvious overthrow of Carver that may have changed the whole tone of the game. How many times did McKinney throw a 8 yard curl into the ground at 5 yards? How many out patterns did our recievers and tight end almost get decapitated due to a high throw? How many deep throws did he overthrow by 10 yards. With McKinney, the cats go man and load the line and we throw for 90 yards instead of 190.

Thank you the voice of reason. AG1 is one of the few class acts on here

Have you watched your secondary all year? OL/DL/LB's/RB all about same. QB/WR/CB/S/K all advantage CATS. QB is a big piece though I agree.

I was worried about the GRIZ OL in that game all week. They mauled us last year but this year we had a healthy DL and some very good backups. We lose Minter and Schreibis but have some good one's coming up too. The GRIZ D wll be good again next year but they better get improved secondary play. Your DL got push the first half but your fat DT's wore down (like those old PSU D's with the big DT's -- good for a half). No pass rush in the second half (and that was with you stacking 8-9 in the box).

Should be a good game next year. Who do you think your QB will be for it? Did anyone think TM was going to play at least 5-10 snaps in cat/griz game? That surprised me some.

I heard both fgs were lame ducks that had no shot. He'll get better, I'm sure of it.

:? :? Both FG's were wide right by a small margin...well struck, just pulled ever so slightly. Now, the XP, that's another issue altogether. That looked like a snap hook drive I'm intimately familiar with...

Ahh, I actually didn't see them. I just heard people (cat fans??) saying they were horrible kicks.

Good to know they weren't. I think Lider will be a good kicker down the road.

Sorry to burst your bubble but they were "horrible". The conditions were good, and the FG's were short enough kicks that you would typically consider them gimmes. No he didn't hit it 15 yards too wide, but he shouldn't have missed at all. The one kick he made was the ugliest of the bunch. That extra point was barely above the bar, slammed into the right upright, then bounced hard left securing one solid point for the good guys. I feel bad for the kid but his performance this year hasn't exactly inspired any confidence.

23 yrds and 37. The 23 yard was on the right hash, and missed by several feet, the 37 yard barely missed.

Each kicker has their own quirks but I would thin that a close FG from the rt hash may be sharp angel for a lefty. I only think this because Cunningham prefered the rt hash, he was a rt foot kicker.

Perez made a 42,38 & 22 he is also a lefty and was on the rt hash for the 22 yd, Perez has a few more years on him though

Exactly what I was thinking. Your Irish lad is better then our Irish lad. Oh my lucky stars.

speaking of surnames......... it seems that a particular poster's last name could be a variation of the Norse surname Mannygn.

Mannygn - mannequin. Coincidence?
