DeNarius, Rory, and what might have been...

I know this much, Griz fans should at the very least respect the s--t out of DeNarius McGhee. He's one of only three QB's in the rivalry to win twice in Cat-Griz road games. That's a very short list that includes Super Dave.

Lighten up Grizzoola! No question, De Narius is an excellent qb and team leader. Without him, state college is still a good team, but not outstanding. We all know he isn't Irish and it shouldn't be taken that the comments are racist.
How do you know he doesn't have Irish ancestry? Yes, many slaves took the names of their owners. But, many others took their names from great grandpappies who in fact fathered them. Thomas Jefferson comes to mind. Those descendants deserve their rightful heritage. I do not know if this is true of Denarius, but the point is made.

Nobody on here knows that one theme in William Faulkner's novels about the Deep South, where Faulkner grew up, is that many black descendants had a more direct bloodline to their white ancestor than the white descendants, and therefore had a more legal right to a property than the white descendants. Faulkner doesn't belabor this, but it is one of his themes.

"The Irish lad" is not funny. It's not a joke. Just drop it. Lighten up? I'm just telling the truth.

You are aware the TJ owned those slaves he was fvcking on the side

Bigotry doesn't belong on this board. Let's just drop the discussion.

Wm Faulkner? Bigotry? Only you could take "Irish Lad" and twist it so far out into space. I respect the heck out of the abilities and character of Mr. McGhee, the Irish Lad. Yet he is still their QB not ours, and I'll continue to refer to him as I wish. Now should we debate if my use of the word "their" was some type of veiled racial reference?

You know if you ever had a wife, or girlfriend, I'll bet at some point she looked you in the eye and said, "No, sorry honey not tonight, or any night, you just take the fun out of sex."
