I think the cats will beat both SFA and UND. But there are concerns with their team, and even cat fans are beginning to acknowledge it.

Of course there are concerns with our team, all teams have concerns. Namely for us at this point is we're trying to figure out how to be dominant with our all american, record breaking 5th year senior leader QB out for awhile. We've had a pretty rough year with injuries so far. Fortunately we're getting most of our stars back throughout the season. If we are close to full strength in November, we'll be tough to beat down the stretch.

You've never been dominant with him when it counts, what makes you think it will be any different when he comes back?

I suspect we will see UND play the cats like their last series before the half against the Griz. It that's the case then the cats are in for a long night. To date the cats have not played against a credible opponent.
Even if DM comes back I doubt he will be able to perform like he has in the past.

well look at it this way. much of the crap you read from this board and on BN are from guys that are boosters. :shock:

I learned a long time ago that unless you hear it from the player or coaches which almost never happens then take it for what it is.

all I know is DM goes to the same church as I do and he seems very optimistic he'll be back. he's not a doctor so he could be wrong too but if he's still thinking this way I'd bet a lot of money that some booster know it all doesn't know what he's talking about just yet.

unless of course this qbc member is also his doctor in which case he could be right...and fired. :lol:

With out DM I don't see any way the Cats offense will exploit UNDs defense. Your receivers are slow and your O-line isn't going to be running over anyone, not even Mesa Prep School. Please tell me what your going to do against UND BigSky33? Unless your defensive ends have a career day against UND, Im taking the Wioux in that game!!!

Ok so you didn't give me one legit reason why you should beat them, all you said is that you have a bunch of playmakers on offense, which by the looks of your 2 whole touchdowns your offense scored against Mesa High..your wrong. You lost your biggest playmaker hands down when you lost DM. Both you and BigSky33 failed to give me any explanation on how you will beat the Wioux besides saying "uhhh were good and have players, and we beat them last year". Hmmm... so my posts are dumb? Have you looked at some of the other posts in this thread? DM is "out for good"? One of the dumbest posts I've seen in awhile considering both DM himself and Ash have stated that "Without a doubt, DM will be back on this field in a few weeks, 100%". Or, we haven't beaten a good team (Psssst.... how about National Champions EWU). Or Bleskin moving from WR to QB is gonna hurt us. This site has to be the biggest cesspool of misinformation that exists.

But to counter your question... what the hell kind of a "legit" reason are you looking for to convince you that we'll beat UND? We did destroy them last year and it would appear we'll be better this year and they'll be worse. Of course that depends on the play of JB since DM won't be back yet, but I believe he started very well and will get better each game. Plus I believe out talent them enough that we would win the game even with sub par QB play if it happens. Our D is playing rock solid and could be (egriz term - SCARY GOOD) when we get all our players back to 100%. We have Ash. We have Cramsey. We have a great O line. We have Kirk, Johnson, T Bleskin, Ellis, Flot, Brekke, Salanoa, Roderick... I could continue but it doesn't matter what I say, you think we're going to get beat by UND, and I think we're going to win... AFTER we go to SFA and beat them Saturday night.

Congratulations, that early regular season game is what the DM era has to hang its hat on...

If you played them when they were seasoned and rolling it could have been ugly...but of coarse that never happened because the cats got throttled in the first round by NDSU who then got beat by Eastern.....lol

Let me correct my previous post. I was trying to point out that in this season the cats have not played against one credible opponent. Looking back in the DM years it sure does seem the cats schedule has been pretty soft.

We should get Preston Gale back in a few weeks. Coe has been filling in great so these subs that have been playing have gotten valuable experience so the DL is going to be a strength by years end. I can't wait to see Daly/Gale on edges with Singleton blasting through.

It is still early to compare anything yet. Come back in 3-4 weeks when some Big Sky games have been played.

No all your posts are not dumb, but this one has no weight to it. I don't know how you can say how good your D is when you haven't played anyone. On offense you lost your best player and Kirk wont be able to pound the ball 30 times a game because your O line is mediocre. Therefore I believe you will struggle with UND, they really aren't as bad as the Griz made them look, and I think if they run an uptempo offense like what they did against the Griz at the end of the 1st half you will struggle. You Cats fans are delusional about the talent you have on the field right now. Yes you lost a ton to injury, but it happened and the team is in no way as talented as they were before the season started.
