Perfectly stated and I truly think your attitude represents the MAJORITY of boosters (large or small) which is the point I was trying to make with Kem. I don't know what the answer is moving forward, but I am confident more supporters share your thoughts than don't and will continue to support the Griz either way. The squeaky wheel is always the loudest, doesn't mean they are right or will get what they want. Will be interesting to see it all play out.

It’s probably obvious, but count this booster in this group. I don’t donate under some misguided notion that I should have some influence on what goes on in the athletic department...nor do I donate only because they’re winning. I am a fan of the Griz, plain and simple. I will watch every game, no matter who is on the sideline, no matter who is the AD and no matter who is the university president.

I'm with you on all of that as well. And I donate too and have season tickets, and both of those will continue regardless of what tough decisions are made.
It’s too bad most of the fan base don’t feel the same way. I’ve followed the Griz for many years. I’m only on eGriz today to see who’s grasping at straws and what crazy posts are being made. I can tell you one thing that is certain. If UM retains Stitt, there’s several recruits we will lose out on. There’s a few big time recruits that want to play for the Griz but don’t wanna play under Stitt.

Without names and proof that’s just a bunch of hot air.

I read it that he wants time to elapse in hopes the reaction to his decision will be tempered.

They will slide the news out on Friday hoping nobody notices.

Hard to do for Haslam I'm sure, but Stitt should go no matter what boosters want. He is not a good coach. A new D coordinator is not the answer because anyone worth a crap won't coach for the salary we offer and the offense we run. Impossible to succeed as a d coordinator to the level we expect and need because this offensive genius doesn't value time of possession.

If true then Stitt ran over Haslam....which means Haslam should be fired for letting a coach be the one to make the decisions following very disappointing seasons. That is very poor leadership

Well, it is likely not true. Seriously, someone is trolling big time here. Nobody, other than a select few know what will happen. Don't buy into this crap.

You are correct that only a select few know. Where you are wrong is saying “what will happen.” It’s already happened. Those who have close ties to the program will hear about this in the coming days. The idea is to let the news leak slowly(why do you think I posted). Everyone realizes that tempers are hot right now but what’s right for the program is not to make a crazy and rash decision. Once the wheels have been greased a bit an official announcement will be made.

As far as the discussion, Bob didn’t run over anyone. He made a simple point that recruits want some sort of stability, hence the two years. But he is also willing to put his money where his mouth is and accept that if those two years don’t bear fruit he’ll be in trouble. He is so sure of the programs direction he agreed to what would be a very low buyout for year 3. It was a fair deal for both sides. Coach has the time to finish this project and show the Griz faithful his vision while offering an out for the athletic department if he doesn’t come through. Of course he wants the power to make football decisions, like who is on his staff, that is what a head coach does.

So you're saying that you were recruited to leak the news to all of us important egrizzers? That's funny shit right there!! This wreaks of troll!!!

No I’m saying that the decision has been unofficially relayed to a few people so that when the official announcement comes it will already be in the minds of all of us. Read the article that was posted and tell me that it doesn’t line up perfectly with what I’ve said. Decision hasn’t been made yet-it’ll come mid week. Have to take everything into consideration-justification for extending coach because looking at his entire body of work the deal made is very sensible. Haslam doesn’t know about coaching decisions-because coach made it clear that if he’s the coach those decisions belong to him.

When this is announced officially I won’t say told you so. This is the right decision for this time and for the future of Griz football and we’ll see that play out over the next two seasons.

I read it that he wants time to elapse in hopes the reaction to his decision will be tempered.

Are you then saying the decision has been made?

This mostly originated from Skyline's article last night, where the main source was a booster. The booster probably should've kept things quiet, and we'd all still be wondering.

Bullshit. The one recruit you are referring to is still up in the air for reasons that have nothing to do with our HC. You do know who else is waving candy in front of his face, right?

How about the huge ones we lose if he goes....aka Matt Robinson.

Sean Anderson may be another if he goes it sounds like.

I have no doubt this is the case. The energy (lack of) on the sideline is a sign of the energy around the program right now.

Reason #5 I don’t believe this. When you start letting your employees tell you how it’s going to be, it’s time to start axing people.

I won't say he isn't being truthful, because I am still not sure an official offer has been made. From what I am hearing, extension terms have been discussed previously.

Is Haslam willing to time his tenure to Stitt and leave with him in 2 years when he doesn't do anymore to stabilize or energize the program.

Reading between the lines, I would bet money Stitt gets an extension. I would not speculate on the length of the new contract.

You don’t understand a proper employment structure. When you employ someone at a level where they have their own staff they have the authority to make those staffing decisions. Once you take that from them employment should end because you are saying you have no faith in their ability to perform their job.

BWAHAHA! You have no idea. If one of my employees had a staff member that wasn’t performing, he’d be gone. But I only had 154 people working on multi-million dollar aircraft, so...nothing important like football

I would consider myself a mid level donor. I never once considered withholding my donations to get what I want. I consider my donations too important to be subject to my emotions. To each his own, but I am an alumni, fan, and booster who doesn't feel any of that entitles me to a special place at the table. I have strong feelings about things that happened yesterday, but it Haslam's job to separate the emotions from decision making process. I am willing to let him do his job.

This right there is the sign of a mature individual. Thank you for bringing some non-entitlement character to this place. Too many people do not have the ability to separate events that they have no control over and their thoughts from their reactions. Yea, we lost to the cats, it sucks, but too many people at the end of the day let it control their lives. Everything will be just fine.
