I think this game says a lot more about UM being worse than people thought.

I know that Ferris is the top of D-2, but it's not like they're just blowing everyone away. Last week, they played something called an Ashland and they won by 10. Last season, they split in two contests with a team that goes by Grand Valley State.

Griz fans who expected to stomp them were right in that UM should be able to wreck a team like this, especially at home.

Hey now… that’s not how this works remember- the gris are never bad…. The bad teams are just better when they play well against the gris!!

Random question: who are "da boyz". I've always wondered but never asked.

My three sons. I thought it was a cute username 20 years ago when I had young children. I was wrong. See my signature line... But I'm not changing it now.

When my daughter was eight she asked Siri to address my cell phone as "Daddy". Cute an innocent at at that age. Ten years later Siri will still occasionally talk to me as 'Daddy' (in the female Australian accent). My daughter now calls that cringe-worthy. But I am not changing that either. ;)

In hindsight, our defense played well. We don't have any out and out stars but a lot of young, tough, good players. Our offense was called vanilla. 44 rushes I think to 15 passes. Our scheme and QB's are new. They r still trying to find their identity. We've got some potential but maybe year or so out. If they win at least 9. That would be impressive and set us up well for 2024.

Ferris would beat most of the big sky.

They are extremely good.

I don’t care what people say, this was a great win.

Just enjoy it.

Nothing but respect for the talent on Ferris. That’s a top tier bsc team. Full stop.

But man, the lack of discipline. 19 penalties last week, 15 called this week and another 20 that should have been called. Get that shit fixed and you’re a top 10 fcs program.

You just need to incorporate the theme music from the sit com 'My Three Sons' to your user name. How to do that, I have no clue

The #1 #2 and #9 D-2 teams

Are you counting close losses as wins now?

Kinda like Cats Vs EWU and NAU last year?

This. I hate to fudge say it but, the cats would have beat them by 30+. We are looking like a mid to bottom big sky team right now. 0 passing game

I think vidlak is showing all the tools, he just needs to have everything click. And it will click. People were saying he doesn't progress through reads, he definitely did that today. He moved incredibly well in the pocket multiple times. Our passing game is going to be very strong by the end of the season.

And McDowell is a stud. I'm a big fan of that kid. Not dissing him at all.
He read out a few and threw the ball accurately under duress, i specifically remember 2 on deep crossers that took a long time to develop. He can throw it. I don't think your line is good enough to really maximize either his or gilman's talent. On defense you've got good players, gubner is a game wrecker and fouch is playing really well but i don't see the depth of talent you've had in the past. Will be interesting to see how you continue to develop before you're tested again.

We are the only team to get homered at home.

Now some of you are seeing why I wanted to get some money from y’all…

That being said, that might have been the worst reffed game I’ve ever witnessed.

The overturn on Bergen’s catch up the middle. fudge poop. He took three full steps, then bobbled the ball as he was going down, but it NEVER TOUCHED THE GROUND. They call it back. And don’t even bother to review it, just call it back.

The “no call” on the blatant hold on Gubner that allowed their 2nd/last drive to continue…just so fudge obvious…

If Ferris were a more disciplined team, they win this game.

Ashland and Grand Valley used to be NAIA IN EARLY 2000’s.

Think about that sentence for a little bit.

The year NDSU came in and beat the Griz, 2003? NDSU didn’t make the playoffs and Grand Valley State defeated UND for the D2 title. They won in 02, 03, 05, and 06.

Not at all. But this board loves to slug it out with the bottom tier and prop them up.

A quick tangent as to why I don't like UW Husky fans. Back when the Huskies were horrible, their board was in an uproar and they were throwing out names for possible coaches. One poster recommended Bobby Hauck, only to have another poster say, "no, we don't need a division II coach", which was followed by a chorus of agreement...only to have the next poster say, "we should hire that Brian Kelly guy". The same Brian Kelly that is now the LSU head coach, and at the time was the Grand Valley State coach.

Fun fact… going into last night, Ferris State was ranked #46 overall on Versus Sports Simulator (all college football). Montana was ranked #94 and the Cats #66.

Ferris would have beaten the Cats tonight.

Agree to disagree PR.

Do you have a crystal ball? That’s impossible to know.
