There is, and has been since last spring, considerable noise out there about Coach Stitt's interactions with players (as well as some supporters). Some of you who are so positive on the new coach may want to do some checking around. It looks as if kemajic may have heard or experienced some of this.

Oh you mean the coaches aren't babying kids that are used to being the stars and getting their way at all costs....ya sounds like a real problem.

Daum wasn't a starter, so don't understand your babying kids who used to be starters. Hauck made the starters earn their positions again, and irritated them, but I don't think he sent many kids packing or ran off many. Some posters are showing once again that they never played the game, and don't have a clue about how teams and locker rooms work.

Comments on eGriz Club from a couple of our more respected posters seem to indicate a lack of effort by Daum. If so, I have even more respect for Coach Stitt. He is at UM to win, not coddle.

And PR, I remember specifically when Bobby came in, he tried to kick 4 guys off, who immediately lawyered-up and remained with the team. I know one of those guys, but don't think he wants his named mentioned here. He did become a contributer to the Team and later a high school coach.

See my other recent post. 4 players didn't lawyer up when Hauck came. I was directly involved with this, so don't try to BS me. The guy who came the closest, was a linebacker. It was over having his scholarship reduced. He started the next fall.

It's nobody's business why Daum left but it wasn't effort related and it wasn't about the coaches. All of you insiders really nailed this one..........

Lots of speculation on here. Nobody on here seems to know why he's left if he is leaving. Its his own personal business and it is idiotic to call the kid out when you don't even know the story.

Talented prospect and athlete. Hope he does what is best for him and that's it.

The "noise" was coming up already last Spring. As I said then, this coach "coaches with his elbows." It is interesting to see alums claim that "by God that's the way it should be," and then blame the players. This isn't about "high expectations." I've always had high expectations and been around plenty of coaches who had high expectations. "Being an asshole" to people isn't part of that.

Tell that to Nick Saban, Urban Meyer, Bill Belichek, Jim Harbaugh, Jim McElwain, Brian Kelly etc. etc......

Maybe no one knows, but Alpha was right for once. It's Daum's business and no official announcement has yet been made. And if you do know something, please keep your big fat gob shut and let things play out.

Best post ever AG1. None of us have any business speculating on why a kid might decide to leave. I will say my son knows Dalton and said he hasn't mentioned anything on Twitter about this.
