Dane Parker commits

Has anyone ever noticed their dogs' feet smell like Fritos? Try it if you don't believe me; take a whiff of their pads. You'll immediately crave a walking taco.

Make sure you report back. Gotta know if it is just me. I use the most annoying voice to talk about my girl's "little vacuum paws" and kiss her head. And I didn't want to get the dog in the first place.... Clearly I am even less effective at arguing in my home than I am on Egriz.

My dog is 17 of the finest breeds mixed to prevent smelly feet. Other than that Dane Parker kinda reminds of Nate Fouch.

Will do but I already love dog smell. My wife says he stinks and I defend him by saying he smells like a dirty dog, just the way God made him😁.

It's always the ones who didn't want the pet who love them the most (and vice versa).

So I don’t have a dog…would it be inappropriate to find someone’s dog and sniff it’s feet? Just mention I heard on egriz that they smell like Fritos? Think that’ll work?

The kid looked good in his senior tape. Good speed, hard hitting and at least a pretty good (or better) tackler. Played fairly big, and perhaps 180 in high school is pretty big. The coach sure had him lined up extremely deep most of the time. But he filled well from there. Looked like he had good hands. I like this prospect, plus he's had a post-grad year to get older and develop.

Dane Parker is my son. He is very excited to be part of Griz football as am I.

Just to update those of you who are interested in the type of kid you’re getting, he is legit 6’1 and long and now is in the 190-192 range.

He is a really really good athlete, without being elite. Meaning he’s not running a 10.4 100, but he comes downhill and smacks and will always play bigger than his size because he’s fearless and plays pissed off, but in control. If he was elite anywhere it’s his IQ. He plays the game very cerebral and that more than compensates and most of the time puts him further ahead than those with more speed, etc…he played in the toughest most competitive league in HS and had back to back 90+ tackle seasons. He’s a field general type that will know where everyone should be and direct traffic.

In his Hudl film he was asked to play deeper by design and they didn’t ask him to do a lot of exotic stuff. They played very conservatively for no good reason. But he’s capable of doing a lot of things very well. He has incredible ball skills and could be a receiver if he wanted to play the other side of the ball.

thanks for having him(us)! You’re getting a great player and great kid. I’m biased, but I believe in time you’ll love seeing what he brings to Griz football!!
