MBBALL Dance Party! MONTANA vs Wisconsin Gameday!

I'm giving some credit to Wisconsin coaches for watching tape on the Griz. Their rotation to Brandon and Malik was unreal. The coaches spotted that in prepping their game plan, and came up with a way to neutralize it. That quick step, drive, stop and pop was totally taken away by Wisconsin D. Hats off to Wisconsin coaches for a plan.
Yes, they definitely covered Malik like a sweater all game.

It's clear as a bub you didn't watch the game. The GRIZ were in NO WAY intimidated or "deer in the headlights". They got beat by a better team after suffering some rather one-side officiating on ticky tack shit that rarely gets called in the tournament which led to foul trouble.

Hell, the GRIZ had a Bdub 3-ball rattle out in the second half that would have cut the lead to one. Trust me, you could tell by the reaction of the Wisconsin fans and their bench after they scored after that miss that they knew they were in a ballgame and were fortunate Brandon's ball didn't fall.
I didn't see the reffing that way at all, Everett...at least for most of the game I didn't see a lot of ticky-tack shit called. The difference in the reffing was THEY LET THEM PLAY. I think there were 8 fouls TOTAL called in the first half. There would have been THIRTY in a BSC game. The only way a BSC team is going to be fully prepared for what to expect in March Madness is to ensure the BSC refs ref like it's a March Madness game. The free throw shooting contests mosts BSC games devolve into are horrendous to watch, and that makes BSC teams tentative when they get to the dance. Suddenly the refs allow multiple maulings to occur and the team is/looks confused for an extended period.

Oh, by and large you absolutely know I agree with you. I've been beating that drum for 2 decades.

But there were half a dozen calls that went against the GRIZ which normally do NOT get called in tournament games, much as you suggest. But I agree, in general it was a well-officiated game, and certainly not the reason the GRIZ lost. But the foul trouble certainly put them behind the 8 ball.

The way I saw it is Wisconsin flops a lot as a team which continued into their game against BYU and they got a lot of bogus foul calls in the second half against Montana and all game against BYU. Wisconsin was already in the bonus with 10 minutes remaining against Montana in the second half.
