Promise?? I agree with some others that this is a perfect example of a topic (your topic PR) that should have never been posted to the main board as it has nothing to do with Griz football or the FCS. It should be moved immediately. County Health Departments are like the roach/mice/grease police and should be left to do their job. Back the Blue.

As long as PR and Kem post Egriz will be nothing but political conversation.... :coffee:

I have lots of info. Talked to Pflu yesterday, and going to dinner with him now in Flagstaff. Because of some dicks on the board, I won't waste my time posting it. I will PM Kem, tho.

Ahem.

nobody, especially the government, wants your boring little plot of land outside of billings, montana. i think you are safe from socialist raiders intent on taking over everything you own, not to mention everything you still owe money on, like...
...Nothing. You expose that you know nothing of the purpose or the workings of a Wealth Tax. Has nothing to do with raiders. Raiders we can handle in our boring little plot of land. Of course, career job hoppers have little to fear from a Wealth Tax and would reap the benefit from redistribution of other's earned assets.

my initial response to your continued idiocy was to mention my monetary status, but nah, those conversations are stupid. however, i will say that regardless of monetary status, i've lived all over the world, and had a lot of experiences most can't or won't have, because they chose to stay in one place. it suits me just fine.

Agree; I have too. That was then.

What does this mean? "Business capacity will be limited to 50%,"

I am in the Phoenix area. Things seem pretty wide open and active down here. Masks inside.

While I don't know for sure, my impression is that the State and Missoula focused on too many of the wrong things, and not enough of the right things, and let the virus get away.

Interesting how the Missoula and MT media criticize Trump for lack of leadership or mistakes on the virus, but give a pass to Bullock/Cooney and certain other county officials.

Wait, let me get this straight - Bullock and other MT mucky mucks say hey, COVID bad, do these things to lower cases.

Cases stay lower for the most part until school starts. people complain about their rights being trampled upon (yep, I’m being over the top) and complain about how those things “don’t really help.”

State state opens back up, per Bullock and MT mucky mucks. Cases start to rise, people are still complaining and yet.... it is the mucky mucks fault for not “doing enough” to “get a grip on this” when people will just complain about said things that the mucky mucks are suggesting happen to “get a grip on COVID”.

Maybe it is nobody’s fault and we can’t win for losing.

Or maybe I just missed a sarcastic joke which is entirely possible.

The increase in cases is not due to schools opening. See senior homes, prisons, jails, reservations.

The State opened in May. I'm talking about what happened in the last month or so.

The mask order came in mid-July. Interestingly, cases started to rise then. Not saying they are connected.

Now, Bullock/Cooney are afraid to take action, due to their races. See LA Times.

This late in the covid, why can't they better protect señior homes, prisons/jails, reservations? They've had many months to learn and prepare.

Perhaps one's fault. But people like you are blaming Trump. Why are you giving Bullock/Cooney a pass?

Maybe in other parts of Montana the increase started in July, but the increase in Missoula started in around September 10th which is about the time there was a spike in new cases at UM. It was a pretty flat curve in Missoula before then. Started in September with a great majority of the cases being 20 - 29 year olds who then spread it to older people eventually. At one time in September, the percentage of cases in the 20 - 29 year old bracket was over 50%. But as they spread it to the older generation, that lowered the percentage down a bit for that age bracket. Mask wearing was good, but then they get lazy, take them off and socialize. Can't fault them. They are all getting COVID tired and the young people think all they will get is a few sniffles or just be asymptomatic. Trouble is, they need to stay away from their family but they don't.

People like to socialize, and many of the people that do not wear the masks are the young people.

1. Thanks for clarifying, much appreciated.

2. Because I asked a question on a message board I get lumped into "people like me?" Really? I haven't blamed Trump.

3. I wasn't saying I was giving them a pass - I agree they should be doing something, was just pointing out the irony that people will complain whether they do something or not. I just thought it was interesting that NOW it is a problem with cases going up, when it wasn't really earlier when cases were continually going up around the country.

Hope that clarifies my position more. Thanks for the discourse - I appreciate learning new things.

so who is bringing the virus into nursing homes? it couldn't be that kids, who might not even know they are infected, give it to people who work in a nursing home, and don't show symptoms until too late? or did the virus just magically show up there? it seems you believe the latter.

The employees of nursing homes do not live in a bubble and the nursing homes do not have control over them once they leave work. They, plus visitors to the patience are both avenues for bringing in the virus.

Wait. So the ONLY possible way that the virus could reach nursing homes is kids who don't know they're positive brining it in? That seems like a HUGE stretch.

Travel is open. Who is to say nursing home workers haven't travelled in the last 8 months? Or what if they were in contact with someone who had travelled?! Or even yet, what if they were in contact with someone who was in contact with someone who travelled?

What if the worker (perhaps not a kid) visited a bar or restaurant wear masks aren't required?

What if the worker had a child who isn't even going to school, but contracted the virus another way? Say by playing with friends, or going to football practice or dance class? All things allowed right now.

What if the worker (not a kid) had gotten gas before work and used the same pump hundreds of others had used for days and didn't wash hands? Hell, what if they used the bathroom or touched doors and didn't wash hands?

I don't think the virus "magically" shows up anywhere. It's a virus. It's doing what viruses do. We can keep trying to slow it but we sure won't stop it. Just like every other virus since the beginning of time. It's been said that really the only thing that could actually combat this thing would be a full on lockdown. All people stay in their homes at all times. No work. No school. No shopping. Full lockdown. That is really the only way to ensure full safety. Aside from that, there will always be the risk of contracting a virus no matter what.

You are all right about the virus, argh, player, cats. There are many different ways one can pick it up, some are probably not yet known. It will continue to spread until a vaccine is available, that is, if it provides a high level of protection and the majority of the population agree to be vaccinated. Most of you have likely heard the negative stories about the vaccine such as it will contain some sort of chip so the government will be able to spy on you.
