God damn it, having only played back in the Woody Hayes era this is hard to follow. Guess my intellect isn't what it used to be.

Ahhhh, too much love from daddy.

This is what I SPECULATE happened to PR, although that was a time before the advent of the modern plastic helmet.

but they had an O-line.

On a side note I would help PR off the ground when he told BH that he doesn't know because he never played.

From what I hear, at least in the last 35 years, every first year law student is taught, when you are in a hole, stop digging.

This is all predicated on your assumption that BG would have led them to a victory at UNC.

Again, this is you stating your assumption that BG would have played better against MSU if he would have played at UNC.

As opposed to your assumptions based on your own eyes and by your self confessed hearsay of others opinions.

Yes, yes and yes. That is what I have been saying all along. And yes, players/starters on the Griz gave me the info. Glad you were able to state what I had already said several times. You're a bit slow but you finally got it.

You do realize that my stance from the beginning was that you were making assumptions based on opinions of a few football players. Along the way you added such gems as the old "he was rusty" and "Chalich was sacked too often" to support your "they would have won both games" assumption. Seems I was "getting it" right from the start. Glad you caught up.

Nope, glad you caught up. Mr. Never Played the Gamer.

Its crazy how many players talk to Playa directly...is it because humans dont realize they're communicating with a dbag until their late 20s??? Or is PlayHata just full of crap?

This is simply my assumption based soley on my speculation of this thread but is anyone else F-ing confused or should I assume it is just me until I ask a player on the team?
Sidenote- Player rep keeps calling BG the starter..... Now I may, or may not have ever played the game but I can't stop but think that there are teams out there that routinely change their players out based on factors like quality of play or injuries. I feel like that may even be the reason for the invention of a "depth chart". But maybe Drew Bledsoe is still the starting QB for the Patriots and Tom Brady is just a fictional character? PR, can you get on a 3 way call with Drew and Tommy (I imagine you are on a level where you call him Tommy) and get to the bottom of this whole subs becoming starters saga.
Thanks in advance.

This right here....the fact that we even had discussions whether BG should be the starter tells everything we need to know. We didn't have a stud on this team worth the solid starting QB spot...that generally means you're screwed.

Also if you knew anything about PR you would have known that he had Brady up to his Cabin to ski after he won the super bowl.....they watched re-runs of PRs MVP performance in the 1957 Rose bowl and compared it to Tommy's SB performance. They both agreed PRs performance was more impressive.

Let's see your list of former players weddings you've been invited to and attended? How about your list of job recommendations you've given for former players? How about a list of former player gatherings you've been invited to? How about the parents of former players you know? How about a list of former players who contacted you when they came back to town? How about a list of those who stopped by your box/seats/area at the stadium?

told player rep a FACT!!

I am sorry but this post is pretty friggin' funny....

CV, why does the father of a former Griz player who never got on the field at UM, and someone who doesn't live anywhere close to MT and never did, still hang around a Griz message board 4 or so years after his son was off the team? Sees weird to me.

Do you post on BobcatNation, dissing TG too? How many posts did you make on egriz, a 100 or so, dissing TG?

I remember seeing your posts, when your son was on the team, dissing other safeties and players. Really weird that a dad comes on egriz to diss players that his son is competing with.

Recently, I've really tried to stay out of your self-induced imbroglios even though they ARE so entertaining. Now you got another 17 pager going. SACCAT had a funny post. I commented on it. That's it.
Whether you are speculating, opinionating or ponitificating about BG playing in the UNC game, it doesn't matter to me. You are hilarious......

Gustafson piled up his stats against the weak opponents. His bad games were really bad and usually came in the important games. Under pressure, he was not a gamer. I will SPECULATE that his bad performances had nothing to do with momentum, even within the same game. Check out the 2015 SDSU playoff game, 1st half really good (should have had good momentum) vs. second half really bad, where we barely held on to win.

Another speculation on my part; Chalich plays the second half of the MSU game, we win.

HHH, feel free to explain how you disagree that playing your starting and best QB, coming into the Cat game with a win (and not a disappointing loss), and not having your starting QB playing his second game back from injury rather than his first, does not increase the chances of winning.

I sometimes use the never-played-the-game card with people who I truly believe say dumb things and indicate that they never played the game and don't understand the game. This applies to you, in my view.

Regarding my first para, let me help you. Just confirm and say this:

No, I don't agree that playing your starter and best QB increases the chances of winning, and explain why.

No, I don't agree that coming into the Cat game with a win (and not a bad loss) brings momentum and increases the chances of winning.

No, I don't agree that having the team's starter playing in his 2d game coming back from injury, is better than playing his 1st game back from injury, and explain why.

No, I don't agree that a qb averaging 309 yards (6th best in the nation), with a 66% completion percentage, with a142 passing rating, with 25 TD's in 9 games, and averaging considerably less than 2 sacks per game, is not good.

Who says winning that UNC game makes Montana more likely to win the MSU game? The Griz won three straight before dropping two in a row and then won again before losing at UNC. So why is it certain that a win before the MSU game would have made it more likely for the Griz to beat the Cats?

I think Kem is safe since I don't think PR has it in him.

Here's how I think the conversation went down

Scene 1: UM lockerroom after MSU loss; PR is hiding in a clothes hamper.

Player 1: Damn, we fucking suck. We just lost at home to the worst cat team of our lifetime.
Player 2: yeah they literally did not have a passing game but we still somehow fell for the QB draw every time.
Player 1: do you think we could have won that game with [Tom] Brady?
Player 2: probably not but maybe we'd have a chance if he also played last week and had some time to get used to this fucked up offense.

Scene 2: PR logs on to egriz claiming the players told him a "fact"

I did. No one said it was "certain". Winning a prior game (and not coming off a bad loss in a prior game), and giving the starting qb one more week to get game-ready after return from injury, "makes Montana more likely to win the MSU game". Note that the "more likely." That is a fact. It's definitely "more likely". Of course, it's not "certain" but is is "more likely" and no one said "certain".

Jeez, I really don't understand how so many people can make stupid comments about football in the same thread.

And what if BG re-injured himself in the UNC game and both Chalich and Phillips went down after him? What kind of "likely" would that have provided the team. Maybe they would have been even less motivated for the Cats. Geez, this was last year and we are very unlikely to change a mediocre 6-5 record at this point so could we just let this tread go before even more stupid comments surface. The answer to the original question, "Could Montana's Brady Gustafson Be the Next Carson Wentz" - No, No, and F.... No.

You forgot to mention the part where PR collects and sniffs the jock straps.

No...That is an implied fact.
