Why do you keep saying that about other schools?

Perhaps because we play in the Big Sky Community College Conference? Just a hunch.

Spoken like a true Husky fan! :thumb:
I dislike the Huskies too. Just nowhere near with the hatred I reserve for the duckies.

Why are you so arrogant?
EverettGriz said:Not arrogant. Accurate.
If you consider "Community College" based on fan base and attendance, congrats.

I would say 90% of FBS schools would consider Montana a "Community College" if you want to compare attendance.
Consider this - when UM was playing in the Pacific Coast Conference;BigSkyBears said:Spanky said:Adams is a gifted athelete, but a jerk. It will be interesting to see if Oregon allows him to behave as he did at the community college.

If true, they would be incorrect. By my count about 38 of 128 FBS teams averaged at or below UM's average attendance last year. That's about 30%. Another 7 or so were about 30k or less, but slightly higher than UM. So, maybe 65% of the FBS might be able to validly consider UM a community college based on attendance.
By contrast, the estimated attendance at the NJCAA Football Championship is around 3000-5000, which is much more in line with the non-Montana BSC teams. :thumb:

That's the most intelligent thing you've ever posted on this board. Nay, dare I say the ONLY intelligent thing you've ever posted. Yes, that's why we call them community colleges; well, that and the fact that ewoo nearly is.
And thanks for the congratulation wishes. We know they're well-earned, but they're still appreciated.

Northern Arizona was known as the Northern Arizona Normal School
Idaho State was known as Idaho Academy, then UI southern branch
Weber State was Weber Academy, then Weber Normal School
Northern Colorado was State Normal School
Eastern Washington was Cheney Academy, then State Normal School
Portland State only existed for a couple years and was the Vanport Extention Center, then Portland State Extension Center
Sac State only existed for a couple years as sac state college in a space shared with the Sac Junior College
UC Davis was the University Farm, then Northern Branch of the College of Agriculture
Cal Poly was. Technical high school, then later a 2 year vocational and technical school.
Hope this conference history helps.

So what this history lesson taught us is that UM declined while all of the other institutions listed progressed. I would have to agree.
Great Day To Be An Eagle said:"Since that famed 1997 season, Eastern Washington has been the Big Sky’s flagship program outside the state of Montana. Over the last 10 years, it can be argued EWU is the cream of the Big Sky crop, even if Montana and Montana State are included in the conversation. The Eagles have won six Big Sky titles since 2004, including all but the 2011 title this decade. Baldwin is 45-11 against Big Sky competition, including a 34-6 mark over the last five seasons."
With respect to Colter, I would argue that they are the flagship program PERIOD. the state of Montana included.
