I suspect you’re right about a possible cause for the change. The five top seeds eliminated from the “bid pool” had an average NET rank of 109. Their “replacements” (four champions and the favorite in the Summit) have an average NET of 124. That's a pretty big drop-off. The average SOS also dropped a lot, from 223 to 255.rocklobster said:Bracketology has the Griz as a #14 seed in the East vs. Houston right now. Must be due to all of the #1 seeded losses in conference tournaments mentioned earlier in the thread. If we take care of business, that's a not a bad seeding. I can't imagine us moving up much higher than that. Especially with Lunardi.
Holy crap! Another buzzer-beater ending. With about 2 sec left on the clock a big guy for Northern Kentucky (not a "normal" three-point shooter) launched a beautiful trey and hit it clean to give the 2-seed in the Horizon the lead, 64-63. Oakland-Michigan had about 1.6 sec and got off a desperation shot, which got close but didn't go in.IdaGriz01 said:Numbers are starting to even out. Iona, the 1-seed in the Metro Atlantic, won the championship and has the auto-bid. No chance for a second bid from the MAAC. Actually, Iona needed the three tournament wins to have an overall winning record for the year (17-15).
BTW ... There's some damn good basketball going on right now. Why don't you drop the Lady Griz bitching and watch some of it?

Like I said earlier, you guys are possibly wasting your time speculating if we don't even win the Big Sky tourney! :roll:Dillon said:What's with all this Bracketology Griz talk. Right now I say the Griz have a 50/50 chance of making the Big Dance!
No "possibly" about it: The Big Sky is clearly a one-bid conference, so the Griz have to win the tourney to get into the Big Dance. Otherwise, it's off to the NIT.Dillon said:Like I said earlier, you guys are possibly wasting your time speculating if we don't even win the Big Sky tourney! :roll:Dillon said:What's with all this Bracketology Griz talk. And these are the two teams furthest from Boise. I expect the crowds to be 10x better than Reno for the Griz/EWU/UI/ISU/Weber games....
