Who are you arguing with, the stats? No comments were offered in the post. You love to use stats to push your agendas; have a dose of your own medicine.

No comments were offered in my post either. You offered some stats; I offered some stats. You then responded by starting to become your jerk self.
Not quite correct; I cherry picked nothing; provided all QB stats I could find including ints. They speak for themselves. You have to cherry pick something to desperately try to push your agenda. Then asked defensive questions. But thanks for the compliment; love the confirmation.

I didn't say you cherry-picked anything. Why did you bring that up?

You weren't able to find stats on the number of times our QB's were sacked? Hum, that's pretty easy to find on the gogriz website under Stats.

I noticed that you avoided answering any questions.

Only PR is allowed to use stats in his arguments! I'm pretty sure it's in the Egriz bi-laws!

Gustufson vs Saint Francis, Northern Iowa, Cal Poly, Southern Utah, Mississippi Valley St, Sac St, Northern Arizona, and Eastern Washington.

Chalich vs Sac St and Idaho St.
Correct; neither have played against defensive powerhouses. Chalich has played in four games; Gustafson eight.

Uni and saint francis are top 10 fcs defenses.

Isu and sac state are both bottom 5 fcs defenses

Can you at least try before you spout more bullshit
Which QB played most of the SacSt game, running up stats?

UNI is not in the top 10 either in total defense or in scoring defense. BG was horrible in that game; 14-30 and 118 yards. It was only a JLM punt runback that saved our day. Montana is the only good offense St. Francis has played. BG was not so hot in that game either, no TDs in the first half and 2 ints, which kept SFU in the game. So maybe you should get your facts straight before you start calling BS.

Gustafson 244 for 365, 7 ints, 66.8%, 2593 yards, 24 TDs, passing efficiency 144.4, 7.1 yards per attempt, one TD per 15.2 attempts, -3 yards rushing

Chalich 34 for 46, 2 ints, 73.9%, 584 yards, 9 TDs, passing efficiency 236.4, 12.7 yards per attempt, one TD per 5.1 attempts, 61 yards rushing

Using those numbers based on relative number of throws, Chalich would have 16 interceptions if he had thrown as many balls as BG. The similar stat for being sacked based on relative throws, would be 32 sacks. BG has 13 for the season.

If Chalich gets another start, do you expect 7 or more passing TD's? Would you expect the passing efficiency number to stay at about that rate?

Let's play that game! Using those numbers, Chalich would have 71 TD passes if he had thrown as many balls as BG. Yeah, I'd take those numbers....

I agree. However, I think it is much more likely that Chalich would get sacks 3 times per game than it he would get 7 TD's (or more) per game. Same with more likely that he would throw a pick or two, than get 71 TD's if he had thrown as much as BG. Or, do you think 71 TD's is more likely?

Can I play. However, I think it is much more likely that Chalich rushes for more first downs and touchdowns than does BG. And it won't even be close. See, people can throw around all the assumptions and opinions they want, and most, including ones presented by you, don't really mean shit.

Sorry UNI is 11th in total defense MY BAD THEY ARENT TOP 10.

You wanted to provide raw stats with no clarification on those stats, and then said that BG hasn't faced defensive power houses. You were wrong. Why not accept it? You wanted to claim raw stats was enough of an argument but when I provide you with that fact that 2 of the 8 teams BG has faced are statistically top defenses in the FCS you make excuses. You can't have it both ways homie.

It is PAINFULLY clear to anyone actually mentally stable that BG has faced much tougher competition than chalich as far as defenses go. That is why comparing numbers side by side is a flawed argument.

Whatever, but those points were not the stats being discussed. If Chalich doesn't get on the field, then your guesses are not going to be accurate. Again, note that Chalich didn't pick up any first downs rushing/running on 3d down on Saturday. In fact, he was 0-2 (I won't include the goal line sneak on 3d down).

What are you talking about? I made no argument posting the stats whatsoever; left that to the reader and cherry-picked nothing. Some like yourself are creating ultra-defensive arguments, some baseless that require challenge. The stats are just facts and stubborn things when they don't fit your narrative. Much tougher? Neither SUU nor EWU are in the top 100 for total defense. Neither QB has been confronted overall by good defenses even if it is accepted that two of BGs 8 games did. It can be left to the reader to judge whether Chalich would have performed as badly a BG against UNI, whether he might have generated more points than 16 against EWU, and whether he might have escaped with fewer than 3 losses. I never made any claims and don't know the answer to those questions, nor do you.

SUU and EWU both have better defenses than either team Chalich faced.

The bolded sentence contradicts itself so you might wanna re-evaluate that.

If you wanna play the "I never claimed or made any arguments" game...

I never claimed you made a claim. I never said that you said anything about which qb was better. I never said you cherry picked anything.

What I DID say was that you posted bullshit. You said that neither QB faced a good defense... Statistically that is untrue. UNI is one of the best defenses in the FCS. You failed to admit you said a false statement. I never said anything about how Brady played against UNI. I simply said you posted bullshit. Which you did.

The simple fact is this. You are trying to stir the pot by IMPLYING that Chalich is a better QB based on stats. You say you aren't but let's be real for a second... You are. I simply said in general that comparing these 2 qb's stats side by side is not a fair assessment of their skill for many reasons. The most GLARING issue is that simply Chalich has faced the 2 worst defenses we have faced all year. Brady has faced a variety of good/bad defenses including 2 that are statistically top 11 in the FCS

OK Boys and Girls, according to Shaun Rainey, Stitt has said we "may see 2 QB play going forward". So, you both "may" get your wish.

Only one question I have is why was there far less quick screen passes and more deep shots with chalich at qb? Was it something they saw in film against ISU? I like both qb's and don't care who starts just seems that the quick score factor was higher saturday night.

yes

Thank God.

It's one thing to use screens when WR's can't hold a block and a whole another thing when all the DB'a on that side see a WR hanging back there.

That's basically a green light and all three go straight for that poor guy.

Usually the poor guy gets creamed as soon as he catches that screen pass..

It was tons of fun playing the game as a Deaf person--interesting read here that has far reaching implications in competitive sports) with regards to utilizing ones field of--

 has anybody watched a deaf basketball league team play? It's amazing the extra senses that come into play :D

EWU plays with 2 safeties and keeps catches in front of them. ISU plays with one very deep safety, who can only one part of the deep field. Very generally.

There is no contradiction if you understand the word "overall."

I guess I made an assumption. If you want to say "overall" neither QB faced a good defense... then that applies to almost every QB at every level given that a standard schedule is going to have bad and good defenses...

I assumed you didn't mean that because again I'm making an assumption that you're not retarded. Bad assumption on my part.

You've gone way over the edge with your defensiveness. In your mind, by posting real stats, without selection, you are sufficiently clairvoyant to judge that I am implying something. Maybe the data is implying something to you but it is not me. You are the one posting your defensive bullshit and arguing the data more than you're arguing me. I never said or implied that there was any fair assessment of the QBs skills, which are like comparing apples and oranges. Your reaction suggests you are really insecure with BG's hold on the job. The stats are simple results and anyone, including yourself, over interpreting them is silly. If simple available stats can so "stir the pot" to one so wrapped up in his own narrative it's been worth it.

The word "overall" makes no sense in that sentence. Feel free to explain what you think it meant.

Kem is just trolling. His arguments and sentences have no sustenance. He's actually been doing it for a while.

Wow. Reread the entire thread, slowly. Then come back here and say Kem is being a troll. A casual observer might suggest that it is you, that is the troll. Well, you and your new internet besty.
