Just saw on philadelphia eagles website Colt has been named starter for the final two games. Great news for the Butte product!

After finishing his senior year as a Grizzly Colt was chosen to play in some minor bowl game---Texas versus the North--- or something like that. Happened to catch the game even though I wasn't intending too. For that game the players wore the same uniforms except that they wore the helmets of their home schools, and Colt chose to wear the "copper" helmet from the uniform they had unveiled in the game against the Cats.

Because of that bright and distinctive helmet it wasn't difficult to follow Colt around the field or see him come out of the piles when there was a gang tackle. The amazing thing was that Colt was always around wherever the ball stopped---if it was 40 yards down the field or on the line of scrimmage after stuffing a run. His nose for the football is simply uncanny. Great that Philly fans and coaches are getting a chance to see that.

It was the least I could do. You're welcome. Truth is, I've always loved you, Granite....so glad we have found peace and harmony.

The game color announcer (Mark Mayock) OOOOZED praise multiple times on Colt Anderson...saying that he brought a real difference to the Eagle defense, not scene since Dawkins was roaming the secondary. Mayock said that Colt reminded him of Tim Hauck, also from Montana that played for the eagles. He couldn't have been anymore complimentary of Anderson! I was shocked, and haven't scene that much praise put on any Montana player in the NFL during an NFL game. It was sweet. :thumb:

Also I have a childhood friend from Butte living in the D.C. area now that was visiting Philly and NY this past weekend. He texted me and said, "Guess who we just bumped into on the steps of the Musuem (in Philly)?" It was Colt with another guy visiting him from Butte... My friends young son was excited to meet Colt, a pro football player.

Yes they even zoomed in and slowed one play down where Colt was trying to strip the ball from Green ellis and commented on it. "This is a better defense when Colt Anderson is on the field" When he said that we all jumped up and cheered. Great stuff and its really cool because of what a quality individual he is!

...Mayock is familair with Andersen from Colts days as a Viking. Mayock used to do Viking preseason games, and he always seemed to be a fan of the Butte Missle even when he was a low depth chart guy trying to make plays in the later parts of preseason games. This said..Good luck Colt.

He also seemed to know his Griz, comparing Colt favorably to Tim Hauck.

A snipit of the article:

Since Anderson got here, the Eagles have tried a host of other players at safety – Coleman, Allen, Page, Jaiquawn Jarrett, O.J. Atogwe, Marlin Jackson – but Anderson has really outplayed all of them.

It’s only two games, but he may be playing himself into the 2013 picture, depending who the coach is, what the scheme is and who else is on the roster.

“You just want to be the best you can at anything and continue to get better. I’m never satisfied with my play. I was never satisfied being just a special teams player and I’m not satisfied with my play at safety right now. I just have to continue to get better.

last night on "football night in america" Dan Patrick said during the highlight of Colt's Pick:

""Thee University of Montana Grizzly, Colt Anderson, with the pick!"

You could here people in the back ground yelling. Damn cool.

Yeah, I heard his name on an ESPN highlight show this morning, Said he was a mismatch that cost his team a TD :o
