College coaching changes

We have already seen a decent amount of movement in college football coaching. Jim Harbaugh to Michigan a big deal.

Looks as if CSU offensive coordinator Baldwim will join Andserson on the Beavs staff. Anderson also got the D coordinator from Utah as well.

That Utah O coordinator job might be a great stepping stone for Beau Baldwin. I think he could fit in well into Whitighams staff. I think we are seeing from FBS schools that Baldwin does not guite have all they are looking for in a head coach just yet. If I was B Baldwin I would be showing interest in that Utah Coordinator job. Also a person would think Robin P would be showing interest in the O coordinator job at Utah as well.

Also Bobby H looking for a job. Could he maybe be headed to OSU as well? Maybe as a special teams coordinator? Bruce Read held that position at OSU but he is following Mike Riely to Nebraska.

I am going to enjoy watching Michigan implode.

As long as they keep letting the inmates run the asylum, it is bound to happen. They are so intent on having a "Michigan man" there that they cant get out of their own way. Imagine what Rich Rodriquez would have there for recruits if they hadn't run him out of town. Arizona will be better than Michigan as long as Rodriquez is there.

Michigan is in the coaching carousel AGAIN, meanwhile U of A is playing in one of the big six this year. Yep, good move Michigan.

Which is exactly why I respect Haslam for going outside the box and not playing it safe. It is also why I respected the Texas AD for going with Charlie Strong instead of caving to boosters. He will be down a bit while he gets rid of the entitled dead weight and instills some toughness into Texas football again. Give him a chance and Texas will be relevant again. I think Stitt is going to be a very good hire.

Case in point with Charlie Strong. He found out a couple things when he got to UT:

1) Mack Brown rarely attended midweek practices, instead letting his assistants run the show...he was essentially a figurehead head coach...
2) The players were spoiled. Rotten. They would ride an air conditioned bus from the locker rooms to the practice facility. Strong now makes them RUN from the locker room to the practice field.

He came in, kicked NINE starters off the team, and STILL took that team to a bowl game. Look for big things to come from Mr. Strong and UT in the very near future. :thumb:

I thought it was a good hire at the time. I think in time it will be a great hire. He has to change the culture there. Pretty impressed with what Arkansas did to them however. I think more guys will leave or be asked to leave. He had some guys quit on him last night. Bielema knows how to coach up the O line. They will make noise in the SEC because they will take over games in the 4th quarter. That is going to turn out to be a great hire as well.

What that game showed last night is an average SEC team is light years ahead of an average Big 12 team. Not sure that's a real shocker....even MORE surprised what Clemson did to Oklahoma.
