Yeah, I don’t think he ran too much in general, but a few plays stick out to me where he very clearly made the wrong decision.IdaGriz01 said:Like many on eGriz, I had the impression -- live -- that he might have "bailed" early on a number of possible pass plays. Looking at the replay, I'm thinking it was not as prevalent as it seemed in "the heat of the moment" ... but it was still there. With some "coaching up," practice, and experience, that can be fixed. The best news is ... he throws pretty well on the run.uofmman1122 said:Sneed impressed me, but he needs to keep his eyes downfield. I counted at least two plays where he ran out of the pocket and tucked it for about 3-4 yards that he had a receiver wide open 20-30 yards down field.
And this is a more general observation, but what has me the most excited about this team is that nearly everything “bad” that happened in that game for us is something that is easily correctable. The obvious exceptions being that the O-Line is just not quite there yet. Special teams would have almost literally been flawless without those two completely indefensible mistakes by Flowers and JLM.
This team has loooong way to go to competing with the top of the FCS, but I really like what I’ve seen so far.
