• How about the job Montana's Larry Krystkowiak has done? He has taken the Grizzlies to back-to-back Big Sky Tournament titles and NCAA berths after replacing misplaced Pat Kennedy. Picking Krystkowiak was one of the most sensible hires a school has made recently, reaching back for one of its own. The players have responded each season to make Montana the "It" school in the Big Sky.

Great press for this great man....he deserves all he gets and more.

Sad but true....the Griz were lucky to get him, luckier to keep him after last year.....and probably zero chance of him being here a third season- regardless of how the Griz do this next week.

I see him in the Pac or one of the other mega-conferences.

:crybaby:

especially after he leads the Griz to a Sweet 16 appearance!

Go Griz!

I clicked on that link, got in, and nothing on Krysko.

Okay, found the part about Krystko.

But, since it seems Swilly had problems accessing it, here is the part about Krystko:

I expect a lot more buzz on Krystko after he takes the Griz to the Sweet 16, or maybe win the first game, or make that the 2nd NCAA tournament game Griz won while in the Big Sky Conference.

ON a I-AA note, check out the salary for UNI's coach:

Northern Iowa, as expected, got the outside income needed to bump up coach Greg McDermott to $350,000 (AD Rick Hartzell initially indicated it would be $325,000, but more money must have been found). The contract goes until 2008-09. That's fine. But keep in mind, if coach Steve Alford were to go to Indiana, McDermott would be a player for Iowa's job. That doesn't mean he wouldn't honor this contract, but the Hawkeyes would be offering nearly double, and that could be too much to walk away from. Stay tuned
