Coach Delaney on The Weekly BSC Conf. Call

Lets make it 17-1 this Saturday

Remember what the "big black out" biggest attendance of the year crap did for UND

BRING IT SAC

Overall I think Mick does a nice job with the media. He provides detailed answers and certainly shows his extensive knowledge of the game. He seems like a great teacher. And the RBs he has developed is proof of that. But he definitely isn't the long-term solution at Head Coach.

Kadeezy has had a lot of good posts on this site. I understand what he saying. MD doesn't speak with a lot of fire, etc. However, MD's main role, as far as I see it, is to be good mentor to the Griz players on and off the field. I would never call for MD's job, and he is here for a reason and that is to get the team back on track--being good guys off the field. I think we will continue to see steady improvement over the next 4 games too.

Brian Kelly, head coach of Notre Dame..."We need a couple of bad citizens to win."

Of course, I don't think he played the game....

Don Shula, Tom Landry, Bill Bellichek = not rah-rah coaches

I saw what Delaney did with UM running backs, so I have no worries about his ability to coach technique and strategy. I am waiting to see his gameplanning and in-game adjustments. I am more interested in how well the UM assistant coaches are performing.

Actually, at the Tuesday presser, ALL HE TALKED ABOUT WAS A SENSE OF URGENCY. He also believes the Griz have to win all four games to make the playoffs, so I'm pretty certain his urgency is fine. Good thing tone of voice doesn't win football games, or Lou Holtz would have been 0-150 at Notre Dame.

Maybe Sac State coaches need a sense of urgency lesson, that way their STARTING DEFENSE wouldn't have gave up 56 points to Frontier Conference member Southern Oregon, IN THE BEE'S NEST
Maybe I missed something because every time I have heard Lou Holtz speak, I have been impressed.

you are easily impressed by the moron who left a pile of crap everyplace he coached. if he was coaching today the NCAA would have a field day with his BS

Delaney I've seen actually provide some rather motivational speeches when working with the kids on the team before and after practice. He strikes me as one of those guys who speaks best "in the moment" really well.

Reminds me of my old man and his, "Jesus Christ, do you think that I own Montana Power?" speeches from my childhood.

Funny when you have kids eventually you use all the adages you heard as a kid isn't it?

And I'm so much cooler than my old man.

The weirdest thing is sometimes when I speak to my kids I hear my father's voice.

Personally I have never been a ND fan, so I really did not follow the pile of crap you refer to. I do know people that have been impressed by his public speaking and for me personally, being impressed was based on watching 2 youtube videos. Thus being easily impressed was based more on minimal effort than an extensive study of Mr. Holtz. But let me add, both videos were much much better than the pep talk MD gave before the ASU game. There is a reason he was on a national sports show and MD never will be.
Funny I have never heard a ND fan talk poorly of Holtz, only praise, though I am sure there are some that don't like him.

Maybe, but that has little to do with speaking ability. I've heard LH speak at two very large venues in NYC and he had the room in stitches and wrapped around his little finger. About 900 people were easily impressed with the moron.

so he is a funny little moron, he leaves piles of scat everywhere he has ever been. not really surprised you love a funny little moron though

I personally could give a rip about LH and his accomplishments or lack there of, but I have a feeling you are taking this guy very personal. Did he blow you off when you asked him for an autograph?

I will just take your word for it, because I really don't know anything about the guy except he can talk the talk.

Never expressed any love, but if hyperbole is required for a comeback, nicely done. Meanwhile the funny little moron continues to take home a big paycheck because you're badly outnumbered.

If big paychecks are what makes the man, then you must lover some of the guys on Wall Street who F'd everyone over, and are now sitting in prison. Personally i prefer someone who is humble and ethical over the egomaniacs like Holtz

Here's a suggestion; try emulating the behavior you prefer.
