Took some time to find this, but we really needed a football fix. The Griz totally shut down the Albany running game (92 yards net rushing). Meanwhile, Hilliard put up 136 all by himself (rushing ... plus 35 receiving).Proud Griz Man said:2007 Griz versus Albany. interesting highlight videos of Bierman, Hilliard, etc.

Thank you for posting this! Ice cold beer in the fridge. I know what I’m doing for the next 3 hours.
Was this not Pantera’s famous fart-face gate on e-Griz?

Here’s a funny side note: I hadn’t caught the name of the expert commentator as I tried to skip through the opening stuff. But I happened to pause as they were talking up Washington-Grizzly stadium as a fabulous football venue, and what a huge advantage it was for the Griz. The crowds, they said, were “relentless.”
The commentator said he’d played his last college football at WaGriz and it was not a happy experience. They fumbled the initial snap … and the Griz scored. It was 48-0 at halftime (and ended at that score). Then he said, “48-0 at the half, two minutes to go in the game … and no one has left.” Then he quickly went on “15 below zero, snow and sleet coming down … and no one has left.”
He made those two statement so close together, I thought he was talking about the same game. That confused me a bit, because we went to every game that year (including the NC at Marshall) and the only one that stood out for really cold weather (Boy! did it ever!) was the Stephen F. Austin game on December 9. That was not 48-0 Griz at the half, and ended 70-14.
After a few false starts due to that wrong impression, I finally went back and slowed through the early part and discovered that the expert was Tom Luginbill (now a well-regarded scout and analyst for ESPN). He was the QB for Eastern Kentucky in 1995. He had dropped down from starter at Georgia Tech after a coaching shakeup. That first 1995 playoff game was played at temperatures in the low 40s, with light rain in the second half. No big deal.
So Luginbill was actually referring to Griz crowds “in general.” Would that it was still that way, re being still in the seats late in a one-sided game. Sigh.

*Sigh* What could have been had not a certain college president screwed it up. How did the supply of tar and feathers not get used up?
