well the season is over but at least the question about the better qb is answered

Both are average. I know this will get your panties in a bunch, but so be it.
Truth is until we get an above average O line it's pretty hard to make an assessment of either one. One thing I do know is that neither one of the "starters" would've won today as neither one has the ability to play with ANY semblance of pressure, perceived or real.

who cares what you said? You haven't provided an opinion or stance in anything other than just being a contrarian. Initially you were basically saying BG sucked early in the season. You were one of the biggest posters on here calling for his benching.
Now you are playing the impartial card as you think both qb's are "average" when in reality both are significantly above average with a very bad offense around them and they both put up good numbers.

Fact is: Chalich and Brady can't catch the ball for the WR's. They can't kick the extra points and field goals. They can't catch the ball for the punter. They can't play the whole game by themselves and it's shocking that Egriz posters think it has to do with coaching now. Everyone wants to blame one person when the whole team has to improve and you can say that's the coaches fault but today wasn't on Stitt. Today was on the players.
They perform poorly in many areas because they are poorly coached. It is that simple... :egriz:

You act like Stitt coaching "better" would make our punter catch the snap, kickers make the automatic points, WR's catch the ball, our senior pre-season all american DE not commit a dumb penalty at the end, etc. etc. etc.

A level of play is expected when you come to this college and our players just committed consistent errors that can't be "coached."
Almost every f'n mistake you reference is "coaching". You hit the road and find a kid that can kick 30 yd field goals. I'm so sick of hearing the scholarship excuse. We don't even have one 'deep' in many positions. How many times have I rattled about the punt returner being a time bomb waiting to go off? Guess what? We can't play man to man in this secondary. We don't have the skill across the defense and the brain power to adjust to multiple formations. Bingham dropped an easy pass in the end zone, however BG would have thrown him a fast ball. College football is heavily predicated on coaching. Look at the big programs. We're not tracking an elephant bleeding in a snow storm :dead: I'm not pissed at our "QB's"...they're avg. joe... :egriz:

Yup. Every player is only as good as his coach...

Utterly ridiculous to say all those things are due to coaching. We had many uncharacteristic mistakes today. I guess they coach them well one week, then don't bother the next. These guys are supposed to know the basics of how to catch an f'ing ball and how to kick one etc. Apparently, considering that the other guys had many of the same kind of mistakes means that their coaches forgot how to do their jobs, also ... just this week, you know. You're a whiner who wants an easy answer and a target for your simplistic, posturing shit.

Sorry. I don't see Rimrock as a whiner at all. He is not the most prolific poster. He kinda just comes on here after things hit Critical Mass. it's probably been building up for awhile....

Rimrock is an unduly negative poster, not knowledgeable about the game, and a bad fan. Doesn't surprise me that you would support him. Eruil keeps running circles around him.

Oh, BS. All or most of what she cited has little or nothing to do with coaching. Learn something about the game, if you're going to try to take on Eriul.

And there is not one quote there with me leading the charge to bench BG. I have criticized both him and Stitt.

You wondered if our kicker can play QB.

You say that the griz are in "trouble" if Brady is the best option.

You call Stitt stubborn and egotistical for not benching Gus

You say if his play "continues" he will need to look elsewhere

You say "sometimes you have to try something different"

You obviously wanted him benched.

None of those say I was pushing for him to be benched. You just assume that any criticism is about him being benched.

Oh, please, HHH. She's got you on this. You sound like Hillary Clinton with denials like that.

You go from h.s. ball which is a blast with your buddies every week to a next level experience which is a damn job. Football still fun, but it is heavily interlaced with challenges you've most not likely faced in your life.Motivation from coaching every week is PARAMOUNT. This year I definitively noticed the drop off at NAU. I was super pissed watching each unit drag their asses off the field on change of possessions. We're down to a one game season now, and hopefully we can exit with something to build on... :egriz:

Do you? Pretty sure it's not the coaches job to catch the snap as a punter

First of all, Gus was one hundred percent ready to play. Stitt admitted it after the game, but didn't give a reason for why he didn't play. And my god, does anyone know how embarrassing Griz Nation looks when in two weeks time, you want the starter benched, then makes threads about how the backup is actually an All-American because of one game against Idaho State, and then in his second game, you create threads about how he's actually NOT an All-American either, and the third-strong guy that's taken FOUR snaps all season should have been put in and should start next week. I admit, the Griz suck, but man, sometimes fans suck at this a lot worse lol.

I know for a fact that coaches personally take the field to fumble, miss chip shots, bobble easy passes in the end zone and fall on their ass on the turf when they can find a soft spot to lie down in.

(Cough! Ahem, ahem, ummm!) Seems coach Stitt needs to hire an OC and take more responsibility for his D & ST. As a HC in D1, I think, one of Stitt's lessons from being a DII coach is that he can't ignore any of the 3 components of his program. He may be an O genius, but his D & ST are ailing.

I don't pretend to have enough expertise to evaluate Chalich vs. BG in a macro sense, but here is one little thing that really struck me in the UNC game: The Griz run many quick out passes to the wide outs near the sidelines. Often these passes cover considerable distance. There were times yesterday when Chalich lofted it up so softly I thought I could go get a beer before coming back to watch it float down to the intended receiver and three or four defenders who had plenty of time to close. BG might lack touch, but Chalich can't put anything on the ball, apparently.

They train the players to "do it right."

You obviously never understood that's why the workouts are called "practice."

Can you image ole BH and this years ST's. Hell he couldn't field a team with all the sit downs he used for messing up.
Worked though.
