Chalich

Running ability only gives us a better chance if you don't compromise the ability to pass the ball. Bad decision if Brady was healthy enough to play.
Because the receivers wouldn't have dropped his passes? Or maybe they would've actually gotten open? NCU had how many sacks today? And that's with our mobile QB that got us how many 1st downs? They would've had a lot more sacks with Brady.
We lose no matter who is QBing that game.

6 sacks. I think Chalich causes more sacks, by not throwing the ball away, not staying in the pocket longer, and moving out of the pocket when the lineman are protecting the pocket. The 3 sacks last week and the 6 this week were the 2 worst sack weeks of the season.

First of all, Gus was one hundred percent ready to play. Stitt admitted it after the game, but didn't give a reason for why he didn't play. And my god, does anyone know how embarrassing Griz Nation looks when in two weeks time, you want the starter benched, then makes threads about how the backup is actually an All-American because of one game against Idaho State, and then in his second game, you create threads about how he's actually NOT an All-American either, and the third-strong guy that's taken FOUR snaps all season should have been put in and should start next week. I admit, the Griz suck, but man, sometimes fans suck at this a lot worse lol.

I agree he has had a few sacks where he should've chucked the ball three rows up.

THANK YOU PR!!! You get it. To whoever said, Chalich did exactly what Stitt asked him to do. That is not correct. Stitt asks his QB to make a pre-snap read, take a two-step drop and get rid of the ball from the pocket. Chalich missed a ton of those reads and he breaks off plays that we will never if they would have worked or not. But, by breaking off plays, he's actually NOT doing what the coaches are asking him to do.

This loss is not all on Chad. Once again, the Griz secondary is in over its head, and that includes the coaches coaching the secondary. Special Teams continues to be an utter disaster, and that is also coaching as much as it execution. There were a lot of reasons the Griz lost today, the biggest of all is that, they're not that good. But Chalich doesn't get a pass, and I'm dure he'd be the first to accept that.

There's plenty of blame to go around, that's for sure.

I know, I know, haha, I'm a bad fan because I'm still going to Cat-Griz, because I'll still buy my season tickets next year, and because I don't believe I know more than football coaches and athletic directors. That makes me a monster. LOL.

I agree Havre and PR. It is difficult to say if he missed some pre-reads, but receivers were breaking open. Chad had some bad passes early in the game and there were some drops, makes you wonder if he lost confidence. Anyways, the happy feet makes you vulnerable to sacks more than hanging in the pocket. There were a few times that he ran out of some good protection.

Not to pile on Chad. I think he is a fine QB. It was a team loss, but I think Gus runs the offense better at this point.

I'm also going to Cat-Griz and buying my season tickets. You sure act like you know more than the football coaches in this recent post, Postby havgrizfan » Sat Nov 12, 2016 4:25 pm

"Stitt is not god to me. I thinnk he is a good football coach. But I also think he makes rookie mistakes. LIKE NOT PLAY A QB who is rated as the No. 8 QB in the 2017 Draft by the the official NFLScouts.com website. I knew if he benched Brady the Griz were screwed, so obviously, Stitt is not god to me. Having said that I also know how the UM system works. Name ONE Griz head football coach that's been fired for performance-based reasons since 1985? You can't and Stitt will not be fired for a 7-4 season either."

Nothing wrong with having that opinion, but please don't act like your'e a better fan than other people on this board. Because you aren't, it's obnoxious.

I don't think I'm a better fan, or even a "good or bad" fan. I challenge you to find ONE POST where I use the word better in relation to talking about myself. I simply said that people calling for THREE quarterback changes in a seven-day span are making themselves look pretty rediculous.

I didn't see where people are asking for Phillips to start but, letting Phillips get a series in this past game could have given the spark or not to this offense. If Gus was available, he should have gotten in the game. It is that hard for Stitt to sub players?

Hard? Shouldn't be, But Stitt does appear to be very stubborn. He said Gus was ready to go. But he also said he's not second-guessing the decision not to play him either. I don't get it. I'm disappointed that he didn't play. And no I'm not saying the Griz would have won. I don't have a crystal ball.

Look, I am the one who came up with the good fan, bad fan terminology--many years ago. I own the rights to it, and have 4 patents on it. Only I get to decide who's a good fan and a bad fan. Hav is a good fan; you are a bad fan. Now, stay out of territory.

As I noted after the NDSU(2) and after the first season of play, Stitt does not "adjust" well. Players do not rotate in a reasonable fashion, strategies do not change in second halves. Even game play announcers are puzzled by his "strategies." A coach subs a player that is having a "cold streak." That's how a coach breaks a "cold streak," changes the team dynamics or changes the existing leadership dynamic. Stitt acts like any game changes are admissions that he failed in the first place. He won't do it. Hard to tell if that's arrogance or the underconfidence of a DII coach realizing its "not all talk" at the DI level.
