I thought he was a decent QB for Idaho, given the circumstances of the Vandals. He'll have Ellis Henderson to work with here for a year, and plenty of other weapons. Having Chalich for a year or two will be helpful to get Simis ready. But really, we don't know what coach we're hiring, so who knows what kind of offense we're going to see next year. And with a mish-mash of Pflu's read-option players and Delaney's power offense players we have a mixed bag of a roster. Chalich could very well be a square peg in a round hole at Montana.

I'm kind of in the same boat. Why is this such a big deal? Other than him being our only qb with game experience next year.

I dont think its a big deal. I remember exactly where I was for Nygren's Ride,the play and the game that started it all. I had no love or respect for the vanDolls and even less now, the worst team in FBS.
