Cats: Easiest Bracket Path Ever?

I don't think there's any argument it was the easier half of the bracket.

They still have to win the games. And they went into the playoffs with a brand new starter at QB, and played mostly without their all-world RB. I gotta give credit where credit is due. If the Griz had lucked out and gotten that side of the bracket and still made the NC, we'd be talking about what an amazing accomplishment it was....

That is the way seeded brackets work though, the side with the #1 is always easiest. the first round are placed by regionalization so its kind of random with respect to rankings. SDSU being on that side strengthened it some but the top half was still an easier path. I was just happy that the Cats didn't have a path that went through Fargo.

I was really expecting EWU to have to travel to MSU, not UM. If that were the case, what’s everyone’s feeling on the bracket? BTW, we would have beat them in Bozeman to.

I suspect the reason EWU was on the Griz side of the bracket is that Cheney to Bozeman is more than 400 miles (Google says 407) and Kent Haslam mentioned on an interview that 'bus games' are less than 400 miles.

Oh gotcha. So why did we play UTM in the same round? That’s not a bus trip.

Because UM - EWU was a bus trip. If the bracket had been made based on competitiveness (sorry don't know what else to call it), then EWU might have flown to Bozeman and UTM flown to Missoula, two flights rather than one.

Old Highway 10 had a lot of watering holes. One between Columbus and Park City called creatively, the 10 Inn, was my spot. I was probably their best customer at 17 and 18; never got carded.

I got carded at 17 and 18 but did not matter as it was the legal age to drink for me anyway. When it was legal at 17 the next year they changed it to age 18. Nice timing on being born on my part!

in Montana I do not think in the 1900's on up it was ever 17yoa to legally drink. it bounced between 19 and 18 for a while in the early 70's but in the

Yeah, they dropped the age to 18 and then realized that allowing high school seniors to buy alcohol wasn't a good idea, so they upped the age to 19.
