I don't doubt we have had it easier on our side of the bracket, it's obvious. Also, I hope no one really believes/believed SHSU was #1. Yes, he griz stomped the Cats in Cat Griz and it doesn't matter who was quarterback at the time. Griz beat the Cats this year. These are obvious things. OK. Understood.

Also, hope it's understood that the people who post on egriz and bobcatnation are a very tiny representative of the whole fan base and how we act doesn't represent the real fan base. Thank God. Like we're so small it's statistically insignificant and WE, all us posters, don't represent the character, quality and integrity of the vast majority of the collective fan base.

However, for the love of UM and the obvious proud history all of Griz athletics, particularly football, and for the honor of the players, fans and to NOT CONSTANTLY meet the low expectations of people (like me) who post on these forums and how it makes your team look: please, just consider not making UM fans look like sour grapes, squealing whiners as the Cats go farther this year. It dishonors UM and Griz football. It dishonors my life-long friends who've been Griz athletes. Being quietly confident in your program trumps, stomps and eats "always looking for Cat success excuses" for breakfast. Bobby's an amazing coach, leader, will go down in history as one of the most successful FCS coaches, HAS to have helped UM enrollment, etc., but you don't have to act like a trained parrot and follow his 3rd-grade-maturity Cat-hate. You can, but then you'd come off like him. Not a good look for spectators unless you like being a sycophant (look it up).

Just wonder how many players, parents, supporters read these type of "I'm obsessed with the Cats, but don't want to look like I'm obsessed with the Cats" posts and roll their eyes, tell their friends and how/if/perhaps it plays a role in enrollment and where athletes choose to play. Worse - what 'quality' of people do you attract, and un-attract, with crap like this?

If the Cats win the Natty, some Griz will always put an asterisk next to it, 3D print their own Natty trophy because Griz beat the Cats in '21, so Griz really are the champeens this year. But this is why there's a whole season, why we all have to deal with crappy reffing, injuries, laughable brackets, etc.. It's part of the game and they ain't squat any of us can do about it.

Now, just wondering, how much does UM owe me for this awesome consulting post that will clearly have a big impact on UM enrollment? I'll send a bill shortly.

I'm serious about getting rid of the "ESG, GCG" chant. Most of us absolutely loathe it. Meatheads are typically louder than rational people. I'd wager the same folks that dispise that chant are from Montana AND the same Bobcat fans that root for the Griz when the Cats are out(which was most of my formative years). The implication in your post is that Griz fans are the ONLY side that does this crap (and that apparently eGriz is the only place this kind of crap is posted). There's a reason why, in the heat of battle against SDSU, in their most important game in 37 YEARS of football, the 'Scat fans weren't cheering for the Bobcats, or against the Jackrabbits. No....they were chanting, in unison, "Eat Shit GRIZ, Go Cats Go!"

Bobcats beat the reigning National Champions and then the Runner-ups from "last year". So if you ask me, I'd tell you Montana State just earned a trip to Frisco by beating the #1 and #2 teams in the FCS. Go Cats!!

What happened last year has no bearing on this year and if you doubt me then just check the record of the 1984 bobcats and the 1985 bobcats.

Watch the replay of the Scat and Beagle games in November and December. Both teams had little to no presence from a special teams standpoint. Terrible and one Of the main reasons the Griz were victorious in both games. That won’t cut it against NDSU. Simply won’t. Vegan has to do a better job with this unit. Veggie better come up with some form of special teams focus this week. Hard to believe the Cats don’t place an emphasis on this part of the game. Mellot isn’t going to be able to overcome poor field position all game, nor is the defense going to be able to hold NDSU if they keep getting great field position consistently. The Brawl proved this.
