I have read through all of your posts and it amazes me how many facts you have wrong but the worst part is you claiming that the Pussycats would come into Fargo and kick out butts. What planet do you live on? Seriously, the last time NDSU played MSU you got embarrassed big time in your house. Do you realize that those freshman that beat you down are now seniors and NDSU will have their best team last year since turning DI? These seniors already have two national championships under their best and can't wait for the 3peat. At best you should say it could be close but to honestly believe you would come to Fargo and kick our butts is laughable. If you really believe that to be true then MSU would play the game in a heartbeat.

NDB, I am not going to comment on something I do not know the facts. The Cats have gotten some excellent players from Texas, two of which were All-American. We don't know what the financial implications of all this is. As a fan, not playing you guys is a real disappointment. Especially pulling out at this late date. If you want to keep whining that's your perogative. It's not going to change things. Just makes you look like an ass wipe. Your preaching to the choir!

The Gene Taylor interview was interesting. It was mentioned that MSU was possibly considering changing "Stand Up and Cheer" with "The Chicken Dance." It would be much more interactive for the fan base. Maybe Fields can clear up any misconceptions when he explains the buyout.

So the SUMMATION STATEMENT proffered is this:

The MSU Bobcats backed out of playing the two time defending champion North Dakota State Bison so they can play an SMU team that had to have it's 1987 season literally cancelled by the NCAA; having to sit out the 1988 season as well since they couldn't put together a viable team afterwards. A team trying to crawl out from under one of the biggest, if not the biggest, scandals in NCAA history that haven't even been to the postseason till 2009!!!

(B) SMU crawling out from under the NCAA Death Penalty = MSU crawling out from under the shadow of the UofM Griz finally makin' it back to the Playoffs in 2010 only to lose to those very same NDSU Bison 42 - 17.

(C) 1986 was the last viable year for the SMU football team until 2009. THE SAME 1986 THAT WITNESSED THE BEGINNING OF "THE STREAK." 16 game "Streak" = SMU hiatus under the "Death Penalty." That there "Streak" as good as a death penalty to any of those that bleed that proverbial "Blue and Gold" shlock of theirs. Oh sure, MSU may have gotten into the Playoffs in 2002, 03 & 06; that under a Mike Kramer. But who do you think got rid of that very same Mike Kramer? You got it. Peter Fields. As good as if it never happened since that very same Peter Fields is still around today.
