Speaking of my 9th rum & Coke and relating to this thread, harken back to 2004 and the Griz are playing James Madison in the Chipper in Chattanooga. Well into my second solo bottle of some type of rum that escapes my memory, I hazily remember attempting to start an "Idahooooooooooooo SUCKS!" chant.
Stick with me a second on this. The two-bottles-of-rum induced chant was a two-fold attempt at taking a shot at two of our "rivals" at the time. #1 being our former rival Idaho who after moving up to 1A or whatever they called it at the time was in the depths of a 9 wins over 4 year streak, and this was a shot at them for moving "up" while really moving backwards and sucking badly.
Keeping with the Caribbean induced theme, by not mentioning our alleged in-state rival I was in fact taking a shot at them by omission. Imagine the confusion (or at least I was) of our Bozeman brethren who were sitting at home expecting a "Pooooooor Bobcats" chant when instead of their one chance at national recognition they were instead getting passed over in favor of an equally inept squad from the neighboring state. 'Wait, "Idaho sucks?", what about us?"'
In spite of the confused looks I was receiving from the Griz fans sitting below who were unable - or fortunately "able" depending on personal preference - to operate on the same plane as I, I still maintain that I have perfect 50-year streak of properly using "you're" vs. "your" regardless of BAC.
And next time any of you Griz fans are having any kind of issue with the 'cats and their fans, just remember their irrelevance and that: "Idahoooooooooooooooo SUCKS!"
