FWIW, I hate co-champs. But I don't recall many of them that the Griz have where they got BLOWN OUT AT HOME by any team they shared the title with. I'll happily give any of those back.

Seriously. If any cat fan believes they won that conference title, it must be someone with the intelligence level of 25.06, or PapaG. I promise you that no cat player believes they won it.

For that matter, neither do the 7,000 fans on the Trail of Tears that afternoon.

I don't think he was dodging the question but my answer is no. Not only no but HELL NO. The cats don't deserve that title at all. That season both teams lost one conference game each. The Griz lost to Sac State and the cats lost to the Griz. If you wanna compare by points racked up UM lost 42-28. That's a points difference of 14 points. The cats in their loss lost by 26. So if the titles were handed out to one team it would belong to UM. How are you coming up with this idea that the cats won that in any way what so ever? 36-10 as a bigger ass kickin than 42-28

Because the Cats did clinch the conference before Griz/Cat was played. The cats deserved the title before the game just as much as we did after winning the game. It's because we won the head-to-head that we received the automatic bid to the playoffs.

yes, the cats are the undisputed sole champs for 2011, but to suggest we should give our rings back is utter b.s. and cruel. it would be stupid to try to collect them all anyway. we are now 5-1 in league games to the cats 7-1. i doubt any of our guys are wearing them anyway.

What I'm most concerned about is PapaG's health and well-being after this. After his constant proclamations that the GRIZ were going to get like a 15 year playoff ban, this has had to be a very shitty week for him. If any of you who visit bcn would pass along my best to him, I'd sure appreciate it. Gotta be tough on the little guy. :lol:

that's a good one, but the biggest concern is keeping from messing up during the 3 year probation period. everyone needs to be careful including the fans.

i don't see many complaining about it. a few on here, but almost everyone i talk to is fine with this penalty. it's no different than having a play overturned upon further review. replay conclusively shows we broke a rule and our wins have been overturned. nothing to argue about.

Yep, I agree. MSU should get the sole BSC championship but the head to head record should not have a game being played. There should also be a small plaque for that year that reads .. UM --> SHAME SHAME
