Cate/Selvig

As I watch the Lady Griz/cat game I can't help to notice how Shannon Cate hovers the sidelines just like Coach Selvig did. She has the same body language and shuffle that Selvig had. I suppose after 20+ years playing/working along side of Selvig she has picked up his mannerisms. She does look way better than coach Selvig though! Coach Cate has done a very good job with as much talent hat she has lost the past few years to major injuries, to star players.

I don't think many coaches in the history of sport benefitted more by his mannerisms/intimidation than Robin Selvig. The Lady Griz had/have such a unique/unusual fan-base compared to other Big Sky teams (and consistently get more beneficial "homer" calls than any team I've ever seen) that Shannon would be wise to model herself after Robin to some degree. She has definitely had to deal with major injuries that are beyond her control and will certainly establish her own legacy eventually.

Do you think they've been beyond control or are they based on a different training program? I don't think I've seen this much bad luck with injuries before.
